Just excuse Simon, he's functionally retarted. I'm not kidding when I say that. His brain doesn't function on a social level. Best just to ignore him, really.

Why's that, Peter Parker? You get by a radio active spider or something? No, that's right you didn't.

I think it was a freak accident. Like I said, my dogs have played with cats and never broken their necks.

So let me get this absolutely straight here. If your dog was accidentally killed playing with a larger dog, you'd do exactly what? I'm just curious as to what you'd do to 220 pounds of Rottweilers and worse yet their owner? Did you grow up in a small town called Smallville or something? Seems to me like you'd probably just stand there hurt and upset like a normal adult.

I guess if thinking you'd snap, suddenly become capable of super human feats of strength and at the same time disregard all common sense to fly off the handle and "punish" dogs (remember we're talking about animals here) for accidentally hurting another dog makes you feel better about your actual place in life, then have at it. I think if you take a deep breath and re-read this entire post you'll realize just how silly that actually sounds though.

I suppose it would be different if we were talking about a brutal dog attack here. If that were actually the case though, I'm not sure even the baddest of Internet tough guys would be too keen to jump in the ring with two frothing vicious dogs of any large breed. Who knows though, maybe the same radio-active spider that bit L-pink stopped by your place too.

If a dog killed my dog, I would kill it. End of story. Then again, if I had a little faggot dog I wouldn't let it play with 2 giant rottweilers. Then again, I wouldn't have a little faggot dog.

Yeah, cause the breed has nothing to do with it

Kinda like saying there's no difference between a cobra and a garden snake.

When one attacks it's usually fatal.

I have raised Chow Chow's my entire life. Not as popular a breed as pits, but they def. have the same aggressive "legacy". Years upon years of training the highly spirited and ancient breed has taught me, as much, if not more than I have bestowed upon my pups. None of them, including my current rescue would hurt a fly without my explicit command. Even if being attacked in my presence. They don't turn it up until I tell them it's necessary.

I think you've made a mistake once again. Probably the language barrier.

What I said was that were it NOT an accident, and the dogs WERE vicious, I'd find it even harder to believe somebody would take that moment to try and kill them.

tough guys, i buy you a beer all around

warchild lives in the 3rd world of costa rica, so i doubt there are any rules for this sort of thing.

i know here in canada, his two dogs would be in the pound right now, and warchild would be forced to make threats to the authorities. If the dogs were found to be not dangerous he would get them back, if not, they would be gone.

no superhero strength needed.

i find it funny...that the owner of two dogs that accidentally killed another dog is on here, pulling a passive agressive act, just waiting to try and pounce on someone.
comments like...you need to be radioactive superman to take me on
lol

it screams white trash fucked up, and your dogs are probably very dangerous

sorry, but you got lost in the thread once you started in on the superman shit..lol

just judging by your performance in this thread, id take your dogs away from you

thats up for the officials or game warden though, for your sake you should hope the other lady doesnt have a lawyer that would love to sue a pornographer with two very large dogs, who just killed their beloved family pet...if i was her, id print out this thread and bring it to court

maybe you could go super man on the judge and threaten him indirectly

that multipoo or whatever should probably have not been playing with dogs that weigh 20 times itself.

but when you come on here, with attitude, like you would fuck someone up cause they need to be peter parker to get to you...lol
its just funny that you are defending two rotties who just killed

It's funny that you are once again posting about stuff you have absolutely no idea about. Even funnier that the information is all available for you in this thread to educate yourself with and you haven't even bothered.

This did happen in Canada. Animal control knows all about it. They have no authority to impound the dogs at all. The dogs have not hurt or menaced any people ever and that's the only criteria by which removal of the dogs is even possible. Even if it was a violent, agressive bloody dog attack, which is very clearly was not, there is no agency with the authority to take my dogs away from me. So right off the bat you've got off on something you clearly have no idea about it.

Sorry, anyone that wants to get physically violent with a person over an accident is just stupid. I've been training and teaching martial arts for over 5 years now and if there's one thing I know it's that fighting is more a mental game that a phsyical game. Stupid people acting out of emotion are not very scary. It's just a fact of life. I know this is another subject you have no first hand knowledge of so best to just keep quiet when you don't know.

The martial art I teach is the same one used by police in Canada to control people. It's called the gentle martial art and it's all about controlling people without having to hurt them. The end result of losing your tempter and attacking me is being stuck in a frustrating position until the police come arresst you for attempted assault. At the end of the day your dog was still accidentally killed and now you have criminal charges too. See what I mean about stupid? Probably not but you can't educate everyone.

If you'd read carefully and apply critical thought just once in your life, you'd see I haven't threatened a single person. I wouldn't "fuck" up somebody who just went through the terrible experience of losing one of their pets. Even if they were stupid enough to outright attack me, I'd simply restrain them until they cooled down.

keep telling yourself that no one can come get your dogs

even if its a dangerous bloody attack..lol

for the record, if it happened as you say...i doubt anything comes of it
so i wouldnt worry too much

my one dog attacked two english bull terriers and bloodied them, they needed their sides stitched shut
however they had just attacked my sister and ripped her leg open as well.
so it was justified

I'm reading the bylaws right here in front of me. I've already dealt with Animal Control and had my attorney look the whole thing over. The dogs are in no danger what so ever of being impounded. What you believe to be true has no bearing at all.

I wouldn't be worried at all that anyone would take the dogs, it doesn't sound like it was an attack. it was just an accident. It was just ignorance/stupidity that allowed a a tiny ball of fluff to play with two giant muscled beasts. On both owners' part by the sounds of things. Lesson learned.

hey man, im not trying to wish your dogs harm or anything

just when you come on here...with two rotts...and then keep on with the radioactive bit
which is passive aggressiveness..it isnt helping your case.

if monday passes and nothing comes of it, id say you are in the clear, also if the other dog owner supports your claim that it was just an accident then you are fine.

however bylaws, and a lawyer wont help you if the game warden decides to come for your dog....or even if its just the animal shelter people.

so, you know...chill

I'm already in the clear. Like I'm trying to explain to you, pets fall under bylaws in BC. Even if the dogs had of outright bit the dog in half, there would still be no danger of them being taken away. Game Wardens don't have jurisdiction. It falls under Animal Control, or city bylaw officers, or their agents (SPCA).

When it changes is if a person is hurt. If a person is attacked you then open yourself up for Criminal Negligence under the criminal code and the city would be able to impound the dogs and apply to the courts for an order to destroy them. No person was attacked or menaced in any way.

The reason I'm using references like Spiderman and Superman is to try and point out just how silly it sounds to be posting stupid shit like "I'd take you out then your dogs" on a message board. It's just 100% assinine. It would have no effect on the outcome other than to open a person up to be criminally charged themself. To suggest that an adult would get so angry as to physically attack someone over an accident involving pets suggests a pretty low level of intelligence. We can expect that from Simon based on his long history of utter stupidity but MOST adults would not react in that way. That's just the way it is.

This.

The only time a game warden has any place in dealing with a dog, is if it is causing an issue with wildlife.

Actually I own a house in a really nice neighborhood. My mom lives in the United States. Nice try though.

the game warden came to discuss what would happen with my dog after she bit open the two bull terriers.

we lived in the bush though, not the city

and yes, the same game warden would sometimes threaten to kill my dog if she kept killing deer.

Right, deer. This is an accident between two domestic animals. It's completely outside of the game warden's authority.

I'm not sure why you want to argue this point. How you know better than the city's animal control and my attorney is kind of a mystery.

If my dogs actually bit another dog I'd have them put down myself.

well, those two dogs had just attacked my sister and i
they left her a scar that she still has on her leg

my dog was tied up and broke the chain like it was melted butter to get to those two dogs.

those dogs had a tract record of attacking people...they deserved what they got, and they were scheduled to be put down, however their owners who were tourists, packed up and left...but you put your dogs down if you wish for defending people.

im only posting in this for the peter parkers of the world

it fascinates me

I suppose it all depends on how well-armed they are. :D

I'd like to think I don't know anyone who would, in such an instance, snap so far as to rush home (or to their pickup truck) to grab their rifle and shoot your 200+ lb hell hounds. But I HAVE heard of the odd person driving by the offenders yard later on and tossing a poisoned steak or two over the fence.

Trust me, even non-supermen can find ways of dealing with problems.

But in your actual case here I'd say chalk it up to a lesson learned and move on. Bravo for at least making the effort to ease the woman's financial burden, I'm sure there are plenty of chuckleheads out there who wouldn't even make such an offer.

Maybe have your dogs play in their own weight class from now on though. Only a suggest.

so i let my little dog play with big dogs all the time at the park, daily. bad idea?

not like all dogs off-leash chasing tail, but i never stop my 7 lb dog from greeting a big dog if he wants to. wondering if i should change this policy if just a simple accident like this can happen.

not sure what to take from it on that angle.

Well, to be honest I wouldn't normally let little dogs play with big dogs. This was an accident that they got together. I've had dogs of all sizes all my life and this is the first time I've seen or even heard of this happening.

My thinking, after speaking with the Vet, is that accidents happen. People fall on ski hills all the time with no real problems yet one out of every ten thousand, or hundred thousand or whatever breaks their back. Animals will be animals and when they interact anything CAN happen I suppose.

my little buddy is pretty good at spotting the tough dogs and avoiding them, it sounds like what happened here was a total freak accident. can't really live life trying to avoid the freak accident though eh.

My 19 years of BJJ training gives me the skills to control any and all one on one situation with the choice to not hurt or hospital stay my aggressor. Its a skill set i use for not getting sued or charged with assault.

If its more than one, things get broke really fast with the efficiency of a skilled surgeon. (it has happened, and i was way justified)

But a big dog like Brutus makes for a great deterrent. He is way better than a gun, because people will think twice before getting up to no good on my property. One wrong move with a gun, jail time for me. Fuck that!!

Agreed

Warchild sounds like a good and responsible dog owner. He is good enough to share a story with GFY and it seems that people did not read his post with a complete understanding of what happened.

It was an accident people. Thats all. Warchild is a dog lover, not a dog fighter. Dog lovers don't like to see harm to any dogs, not just his own.

I take my dog out on walks all the time and people let there little yappers come up to my dog off leash all of the time and im always pulling my dogs leash hard. Not because my dog will eat or tear into the other dog, but in fear that my 145lbs dog will step on and snap the little dogs neck. This happens one to 3 times a week.

My dog jumps up and down when he gets excited, one wrong jump and landing, I will be posting on how my dog accidentally killed another dog.

My new neighbors have a Pitt and another big ass dog. I'll be moving a family with 2 young kids (3 and 4) to the house and i've seen him let them loose in the neighborhood, no leash.

When i've slept there, they are always the wake up alarm. Try to sleep at the wrong time and a bark keeps you awake. If you know Vegas, these home are way too close to each other with walls that make things louder!

They go nuts if you even walk into the back yard or if I even walk out into my driveway. If the neighbors leave, expect barking every 20 minutes. I was cleaning rocks the other day and they went ballistic, barking, charging, and mock attacks. I lost it and beamed one in the nose and they stopped. Stupid I know, might only make them more vicious.

People say, just talk to the guy. Anyone who keeps these beasts aint a reasonable person. I'll end up filing complaints with the HOA, animal control and maybe get a lawyer.

I'm pretty sure we'll end up just moving. sucks cause we just bought the house.

Sorry... Don't care what kind of dog you have, if it's killed another dog it needs to be put to sleep. If my dog killed another dog, I'd have it put down so fast it wouldn't be funny.

We had an incident with at the local dog park where one dog killed another dog. It was a Rottweiler that did the killing, the dog and it's owner is banned from all city parts.

The pit bull by far is the absolute worst. The rottweilers are second but way way
behind the pit bull. Then comes German shepherds, but way way behind Rotts.

Either there is a problem with the dogs or there is a problem with the type of
people who own these dogs.

I thinks the problem is both;
because everybody can buy a leash and/or muzzle.
You're right man on all counts. Those breeds are aggressive. That's how they are bred so people should not expect otherwise.
