I wouldn't be worried at all that anyone would take the dogs, it doesn't sound like it was an attack. it was just an accident. It was just ignorance/stupidity that allowed a a tiny ball of fluff to play with two giant muscled beasts. On both owners' part by the sounds of things. Lesson learned.

hey man, im not trying to wish your dogs harm or anything

just when you come on here...with two rotts...and then keep on with the radioactive bit
which is passive aggressiveness..it isnt helping your case.

if monday passes and nothing comes of it, id say you are in the clear, also if the other dog owner supports your claim that it was just an accident then you are fine.

however bylaws, and a lawyer wont help you if the game warden decides to come for your dog....or even if its just the animal shelter people.

        so, you know...chill

I'm already in the clear. Like I'm trying to explain to you, pets fall under bylaws in BC. Even if the dogs had of outright bit the dog in half, there would still be no danger of them being taken away. Game Wardens don't have jurisdiction. It falls under Animal Control, or city bylaw officers, or their agents (SPCA).

When it changes is if a person is hurt. If a person is attacked you then open yourself up for Criminal Negligence under the criminal code and the city would be able to impound the dogs and apply to the courts for an order to destroy them. No person was attacked or menaced in any way.

The reason I'm using references like Spiderman and Superman is to try and point out just how silly it sounds to be posting stupid shit like "I'd take you out then your dogs" on a message board. It's just 100% assinine. It would have no effect on the outcome other than to open a person up to be criminally charged themself. To suggest that an adult would get so angry as to physically attack someone over an accident involving pets suggests a pretty low level of intelligence. We can expect that from Simon based on his long history of utter stupidity but MOST adults would not react in that way. That's just the way it is.

              This.

The only time a game warden has any place in dealing with a dog, is if it is causing an issue with wildlife.

the game warden came to discuss what would happen with my dog after she bit open the two bull terriers.

we lived in the bush though, not the city

and yes, the same game warden would sometimes threaten to kill my dog if she kept killing deer.

Right, deer. This is an accident between two domestic animals. It's completely outside of the game warden's authority.

I'm not sure why you want to argue this point. How you know better than the city's animal control and my attorney is kind of a mystery.

well, those two dogs had just attacked my sister and i
they left her a scar that she still has on her leg

my dog was tied up and broke the chain like it was melted butter to get to those two dogs.

those dogs had a tract record of attacking people...they deserved what they got, and they were scheduled to be put down, however their owners who were tourists, packed up and left...but you put your dogs down if you wish for defending people.

im only posting in this for the peter parkers of the world

                        it fascinates me

I suppose it all depends on how well-armed they are. :D

I'd like to think I don't know anyone who would, in such an instance, snap so far as to rush home (or to their pickup truck) to grab their rifle and shoot your 200+ lb hell hounds. But I HAVE heard of the odd person driving by the offenders yard later on and tossing a poisoned steak or two over the fence.

Trust me, even non-supermen can find ways of dealing with problems.

But in your actual case here I'd say chalk it up to a lesson learned and move on. Bravo for at least making the effort to ease the woman's financial burden, I'm sure there are plenty of chuckleheads out there who wouldn't even make such an offer.

Maybe have your dogs play in their own weight class from now on though. Only a suggest.

rotties are death dogs. only their owners think different.

until they maim and disfigure a baby.
