From the timeline, it sounds very much like the second expensive card only got ordered because the client foolishly believed the assurance that the first card actually got sent when promised. There should have been no fees charged for that.

If customer service is going to tell calming lies, it's not fair to charge the customers for the actions they take in response to those lies. Not a dime, not a penny.

Funny thing is, I was finally about to break down and order my Paxum card. But after seeing how this has been handled, I've lost interest, at least for now.

And now I REALLY don't like this "upload a scan to prove you're not lying, until you do we are going to assume that our mailing department can't possibly have screwed up" bullshit. That is a not-very-polite way of trying to claim that this whole thread is a false complaint -- and THAT is not how professional companies do business. (Besides, who saves the envelopes than their credit cards come in? In my office that stuff goes straight to the shredder.)

You want to be in the money business, you need to improve your game.
We want to see the scan to see the post mark to see exactly where the error is so we can fix it - it is no way calling him out or calling him a liar. According to our records it was shipped and it arrived to him. Longer than he would of liked but it did arrive. Both cards have arrived. Anyone living in a country like brazil will tell you the mail system is EXTREMELY slow. We can not control that with standard shipping.

Tranza is dealing with us directly and this issue will be resolved.

Because I expect to get jumped on for it, I want to emphasize the part of the timeline that caused me to use the phrase "calming lies" in my previous post:

The January 17/January 18 dates are too coincidental to be "errors in the shipping department." The first card never shipped as promised; it shipped in response to the January 17 call, and everybody in this thread knows it. Thus, every dime of cost associated with the second card was based on a false pretense, and should be eaten by Paxum, politely and quietly and without any of this "prove it!" nonsense.

Sorry, we cross posted. But, are you now saying that you'll refund his express shipping fee regardless of whether or not he publicly posts the scan of the post mark? Because your last post here suggested you would not.

we are not a 1 man show and if for any reason our mailing guy fucked up of course we will apologize and pay for it and take action. Also the accounting department is in charge of taking the fees and the fees are taken automatically by the system and then manually refunded. It is normal to have been charged express fee by the system and if he was promised free shipping there is a miscommunication with accounting to credit back that fee.

Once again if it was an error on Paxum side we will of course pay the fees to the customer and take actions to make sure it does not happen again. Please post that picture of the envelope to see what happened.

Thank You
True businessmen over there. Way to go. You guys look like a bunch of clowns now. This is the way a rep comes to the boards in an attempt to make a situation right? Very FUCKING professional.

Excuse me? I've had "trouble with mail" in the past?

The only "trouble with mail" I've ever had in the past was when 12clicks decided not to pay me, and at least 5 other webmasters, back in 2003, and blamed it on the postal services.

I get all of my checks in time without any delays, I also shop Amazon frequently and never had any issues before.

I have quite a few of them laying around here right now actually: Bangbros, PussyCash, TopBucks...

Just a quick update: I'm trying to solve this directly with Paxum. And I just got the second card delivered today.

If we are in the wrong of course he will be refunded. He is in touch with us and it will be resolved. I can not say what will happen right now as information is still being gathered.

The post mark is more about where we can see the error. If the post mark was after it arrived in brazil or if it is the canadian post mark.

Kind of what i thought as well, but i left it that MAYBE it was not like that in the answer to Chris. But from the initial post, it was kind of clear support offered express shipping first, not the other way around, and he was not aware he'd be charged for that.

Ah. Obviously I was presuming he was talking about the Canadian post mark, as that is the only thing that makes sense in the context of his timeline.

Most def if that is the canadian post mark it is a huge error on our part and it will need to be addressed internally to see why that happened and why it was not shipped

If the Brazilian post office is so bad why are they even an option. One or two major commercial carriers at set prices, clearly showing price ranges should be the only option. I don't even use the US postal service for anything important or time sensitive.

Yah I'm not exercised by slow international post. My only interest in this thread is piling fees on a guy after he gets a false "the card is in the mail" report when it actually wasn't, causing him to eventually order a second card.

And then of course there are all the rather sour customer service notes in this thread. You personally haven't been too bad, Chris, but some of the other Paxum feedback in this thread has been rather horrifying.

I agree some things have been said that shouldn't of - but we all have of our off days. Just gotta learn from them and move on. We are trying to find out if the card was mailed when it should of been. According to our records it was indeed shipped when it was suppose to be but if his post mark says different then we need to find out why.

My final observations on the way out of the thread:

1) I don't run a money business, but I know what my considerations are when I'm thinking about doing business with one. And since there's never any way to tell who is going to do a Mallick in advance, all I have to go on are the most superficial indications of trustworthiness.

2) So, if I *DID* run a money business, I'd want to run it like I was the most trustworthy guy in the world. I'd want to make like I was worried about my customers' last pennies. I'd want to look more honest than George Washington lecturing the Pope.

3) And that means, if there was ever a situation where it looked like one of my customers might have gotten the idea that a customer service rep lied in a way that cost him money, I would have bent over backwards to refund that money before the matter became public. It doesn't really matter what the underlying truth might be, or whether the customer was actually correct. This is definitely one of those cases where what the customer believes and will communicate to the world is the only opinion that counts.

4) And once the matter DID become public, I would go to the greatest of lengths to correct the problem. No waffling about forensic accounting to find out who is in the right, the important thing is to correct the public appearance that a customer lost some of their money because a Paxum person told them a whopper. You can't really undo the impression about the whopper, but the money is easy, you just reverse the charge.

5) That could have been done -- and publicly stated -- a whole bunch of posts ago.

6) Since it hasn't been, this thread is and remains a massive public relations fuckup and train wreck in progress. QED

My last post for a day or two, as I am about to hit the highway with my girl for some travel and entertainment. Good luck!

Records.

So like when some card company overcharges you, you have proof to dispute it.

Instead of looking like some third world clown who spends more time on the boards being a squeaky wheel than earning any real money.

I had no idea I was charged with those fees. I just found out later yesterday.

There's a saying down here in Brazil: "What is right is right."

I don't feel like I have to pay those fees.

Also, feel free to ask around pretty much ANY big sponsor about me. I have sent multiple programs over 100k last year, but I also have some big costs on my end: I employ 12 people, and have an office on one of the most expensive cities in the world for example.

Also, feel free to ask around pretty much ANY big sponsor about me. I have sent multiple programs over 100k last year, but I also have some big costs on my end: I employ 12 people, and have an office on one of the most expensive cities in the world for example.
There's a saying here in America: "Money talks and bullshit walks."

Everyone in here knows if that were true they'd have bought you the card, Tranza.

But please enjoy being a pretend whale, maybe you can get me fired from my current job for calling you a blowhard.

You are right. I'm not a whale, I'm just a small time webmaster.

So what does that make you? You got fired because of a small time webmaster, is that it?

Fuck off marketing guru.

I'm not replying to any off topic replies. No need for all this drama.

I would have kept the envelope as evidence. It clearly alerted you that something was wrong.

What does it make me? It makes me a guy with a way a better job than I had 5 years ago, while you are still pulling the exact same shit.

A job where if if some blowhard, cry-wolf, squeaky wheel made up some bullshit drama I'd tell him to go fuck himself like he deserves to be told (and like I told you last time) and my crew will back me up 100%.

It's funny how you make yourself out to be a whale but nobody ever sees you. I was in Vegas in January, shaking hands and drinking beers and living it up in a hotel room that's bigger than your entire house, where were you? Sitting on those hundreds of thousands?

considering the 0 for 5000 ratio he showed when Amateur Allure was converting at like 1:500, I'd believe that.

The crazy thing is that even today AA sells like crazy, and he was more interested in putting me on blast and being a drama queen than making money.

Just for the record I want to say again that so far Paxum is OK for me, the currency conversion is a little high but not a lot higher than what Epassporte was (Paxum 7% - Epass slightly under 5%), so all things considered, I've no reasons to complain. Just making it clear since I posted something that wasn't accurate and I don't want that inaccuracy to be considered true.

However, just as a recommendation: other than Chris, I think everybody at Paxum should enter a Customer Service Workshop, it's not the first time Ruth or Paxum (Octave?) show a way less than professional attitude. As a matter of fact I still remember the first time Ruth shown up as Paxum representative insulting everybody, a real train wreck.

On the other hand, I can see Paxum is trying to solve issues. They have issues on their own, of course, but I can perceive a will to get better. So tell me: other than with Michael O., did anyone EVER got a solution to a problem with Epass? Of course not. And none of you gave them the shit you're giving to Paxum.

As for Paxum people: this thread is the publicity you bought with $90. Think about that next time you try to save those bucks, people was really hurt with Epass and you chose to step in that game, now get ready to dance because you'll need to live up to the expectations people never had with Epass. Try to learn something from Forkbeard's last post, you really, really, REALLY need it

Good luck with the checks!
I don't need luck with checks, see. That's the thing. They've been working since before I was born.

I think it's the users of these new online payment systems who need the luck.

Just wondering, how long do you hold on to envelopes for incoming mail or do you automatically scan all incoming mail?

I was at home when I got the mail, in the morning. I opened it, got the card and went to my office. I tested the card around 1PM (when I went out for lunch), came back to check why it wasn't working and just then noticed the fee.

When I got back home I noticed that the envelope wasn't there anymore. I have no idea if I threw it away or if the maid did it or if my gf did it.

I don't really think about what I do with the envelope once I open my mail, do you?

Fees refunded, thread closed.

To be 100% fair, I'd like to clear 3 things up, as I’m not looking to hurt anyone:

1. As stated, I only wasn't able to withdraw cash yesterday because I didn't know I had to transfer the funds from my checkings account to my credit card.

2. It took them a while to approve my account because I had sent them only one document, and to get it approved I had to send two different documents. Once I sent the second document my account was approved pretty fast.

3. They swear this card was sent on December 23rd, and I was told I might have seen the stamp from the Brazilian postal office. I have no way of confirming or denying that, as I don't work on the postal office and don't know what the stamp should look like. Lol.

I really think this was just a huge misunderstanding between me and Ruth, that got out of hand.

As I said on the beginning: Fees refunded, thread closed. I won't be commenting here anymore. I got what I wanted all along: a working card and the fees refunded. Nothing more, and nothing less.

let me help you cover the rest of your lie.

"just as my imaginary maids cleaned up my opened envelope, the imaginary trash truck rolled up and they took the envelope."

come on kid, keep digging.
