day before yesterday, my two nieces got the vaccine. one got the shot and the other got the nasal mist. I'm a little worried, since I'm told that one of the differences between the two delivery methods is that one (the mist) uses live cultures. but, it's no different than going to the grocery store and being exposed to who knows how many infected people, so 'live the day'!

sidenote: how many of you use the wipes for the grocery cart handles before you grab one?

Did it make you feel like you were gonna throw up ? and you cant breath properly, sore throat, headache ect. I had some shit a few weeks back and I dont normally get sick very often, and hardly ever go the doctors or take any pills but this time I had to take tablets so whatever the fuck it was It knocked me for six and I dont want it back again.... ever

Okay, so it started with some minor aches in my lower back and a head ache. Then my lungs started to ache like fuck, and I could not really breath that well. From that point on I just felt like I could collapse at any moment -- seriously bad head ache, shivers, sweats, fever, and zero sleep for two days. The worse part was the dry throat, which no matter how much water I drank made my mouth feel like the bottom of a bird cage. Then the shits started, and I would have quite happily taken a head shot from 9mm to end the suffering.

It was really moody.

During the flu season here are some measure to help beat the flu bug or completely avoid it.

#1 Stay away from sick people (duh) lol

#2 Wash hands regularly.

#3 Don't touch face, mouth, nose, eyes.

#4 Drink lots of warm liquids during the day. Have soup for lunches.

#5 Eat good food. Lot's of veggies. Stay away from junk foods.

#6 Take your vitamin C and D. Fish oil helps to absorb them better.

#7 Use a mouth wash, gargle for 20 seconds. Twice a day.

#8 Do a nasal cleanse daily. If you don't have any wash nose out using a q-tip and some warm salted water. Blow nose hard after.

#9 Get good sleep at night.

#10 WASH HANDS AGAIN!

If you get the flu get lots of sleep. Eat lots of soup and drink ginger ale. Pump Vit C into ya.

I been sick for a few days now, my kids as well.. first started with shits..coughing than fever, sore upper back.. now lower.. a headache in the front of my head and my eyes burns, shivers, a little dizzy and runny nose.. funny part is, I havn't seen a doctor in like 10 years.. and never been sick since.. I go and get my hep a, b and tech shots.. and im sick as fuck.

I spent a day running around and getting the h1n1 shot for my kids and my gf "she works at hospital" and lucky me probably caught somthing that day..

Your wife should play the lottery danclips. According to the CDC 99.7% of all flu in America is Type A and presumably swine flu. Did your doctor not tell you how often swine flu tests are falsely negative either? I am willing to bet you she has got swine flu.

Seasonal flu will not hit this year. There is absolutely no point in getting a seasonal flu vaccine now. In fact doing so may make you more susceptible to getting swine flu. The Canadian government has stopped all seasonal flu vaccines for people under 65 for this very reason.

I do! As a matter of fact, the dispenser is right inside the vestibule door by the shopping carts. Here's my take on protecting.

Wash hands, load up in Vitiamin C, fruit and veggies...think shakes, if you have a hard time eating them. Wash hands...and hand santatizer is good, makes sure you get all your hands coverd and under fingernails, eat some fish 2 times week, steam ur veggies, get enough sleep, wipe down (clorox wipes) computer areas, door knobs, light switches, remote controls, and spray with Lysol.

Kids are taking vitamins, and I'm taking echinacea. I also use the clorox wipes at grocery store, kids don't always keep the cart seating area clean.

I have heard of the nasal cleaning deal, but I have never tried it....I could wipe inside the nasal area, but not do a nasal cleaning.

Throw some lemon is your water, and I like to run a warm mist vaporizer in the the Vegas desert, make sure you keep those VERY clean.

I bought the expensive air filters ....OMG, I'm OCD here>
