first off... right now everyone who has the flu has h1n1... seasonal flu hasn't hit yet and probably won't for a couple of months... also the contagious period is for the 3 days immediately following when the fever breaks so in other words if he still had a fever he wasn't contagious or if it was already more than 3 days since his fever broke he wasn't contagious... and just because you were exposed doesn't mean you will get it... my oldest works in a daycare in a school and has already been exposed a number of times.. she hasn't got it and with her other health issues she usually gets everything... it can be a nasty flu if you get it and if you do just be sure to take the time needed to rest until the lung involvement is finished... if you have any more worries about it like Babaganoosh said Call your doctor about getting some Tamiflu.
