Also, I meant to say there is no wind in space. Especially on the earth.

I believe the boys at mythbuster busted this theory.

They tested the multiple light source argument, the flag waving, and several other theories.

I'm afraid we really did go up to the big ball of cheese in the sky.

You aren't fooling anyone.

We all know mythbusters is fake and filmed in a studio.

People like the OP really make me want to use the ignore feature more and more.

By the way yes there is wind in space, look up solar wind. Not going to say that is why the flag moves. Nor will I go into the shadows on rocks, etc. Just trust me we landed on the moon a couple times.

Rather not trust me, go get a good telescope or hell check into the laser mirror we have in place on the moon.

What a dumbass...

Go view the pics of the astronauts repairing the Hubble telescope last week. There are no stars in those photos either.

Are you going to say that we really didnt go fix the Hubble telescope? I'm assuming that you will say exactly that, based on the idoicy of your previous post.

i believe we went to the moon.

but i also believe they came back with zero footage shot from when they were outside the craft.

so they built a studio and filmed some.
you dont spend a shitload of money...and come back with no pics....they were embarrassed.

the people who dont believe we went to the moon are simply ignorant regarding the simple physics that accompany their arguments

They apply earths atmosphere, gravity, lighting and everything else to the surface of the moon and the vacuum that is space

Try some simple high school level physics prior to opening your mouth and making yourself into a complete moron.

I worked at NASA (Marshall and Canaveral/KSC) for 5 yrs we went, believe it.

Oh bro - that is rich! Did you actually say Physics? I'm going to estimate blindly (as everyone else on GFY appears to do) that < 5% of the ppl who post on GFY have ever even taken a Physics class.

Sometimes i read these threads and i think to myself, does excessive masturbation make ppl stupid? Anyone want to explore the 2012 topic next?

I'll assume the moon landing was real until I see solid proof otherwise.

The one thing I don't get is the moon lander itself. We don't have anything that can take off and land vertically like that even today, yet back then they seemed to be able to build one with no problem even without high speed computer controls or anything.

When those probes land on Mars like the rover, they just inflate a giant airbag around the capsule and bounce to a stop because building a lander that actually works is too hard, even today.

The lunar lander was operated manually by the astronauts. vertical landing on the lunar surface was indeed tricky....the lander itself didnt take off from the lunar surface only the pod atop the lander, it really was quite the engineering feat

I took some Physical Education classes...

As for Science, I stuck with "Rocks for Jocks" (Geology) to get my Science credits.

Thank gawd (or the man on the moon) that porn is not rocket surgery!

Give you additional hints besides that it was manned and much larger than the mars rovers. The moon lacks an atmosphere and has less gravity.
We also do have vehicles that take off and land vertically. Perhaps not exactly like that but again see gravity/atmosphere line. Back then they did have problems as well.
As for your bouncing ball on mars, they have used chutes as well as rockets to slow decent.

I do believe we went, but I do agree that it is odd that we have not built all kinds of stupid shit up there. This is the white man you're talking about. We explore, claim and build shit on that claimed land everywhere we can.

Well I haven't seen anyone else address this issue so I will.

1. OP is an idiot
2. It is funny when people with NO knowledge of science make retarded statements like this and think, "How clever am I? I just debunked the whole thing with a simple observation."

Well guess what? You didn't do anything, other than making yourself look dumb. Allow me to explain.

We see stars down on planet earth because we are facing away from the sun, we are shield from it's brightness, therefore those stars we can and do see are no longer competing with the sun. Now pay close attention to the next part. During the day the sky is blue and washed in light by the sun, you know... that "star" that sits only a few million miles away from us. Thanks to our atmosphere we get all those pretty colors as the light filters through out atmosphere from dusk till dawn.

NOW... What do you think the sky, actually space, would look like once we are OUTSIDE that atmosphere and even CLOSER and more exposed to that "star" sitting only a few million miles away? Come on, think hard... it doesn't really take a genius.

No atmosphere, no filtering, just 100% bright as fuck starlight that COMPLETELY outshines every other light from any other star since the next closest one is 4+ light years away.

Ever notice how bright all those photos are that are taken during space walks.

Now lets stand on the moon and look into the sky, oh but you can't. The moon has no atmosphere so you are actually looking into space and the light from that "star" that is sitting only a few million miles away drowns out all the other stars.

Here is a trippy image for you. When you stand there on the moon everything is lit up like nothing you have ever seen before, I mean its really fucking bright. But when you look up into the sky it is completely black.

A total contradiction to everything we know from our experience of living our life on planet earth.

Sorry bud, but you don't know shit.

WTF comon we were in a space race and we cheated
If we faked it the Russians would have called us on it. We haven't been back because the TAXPAYERS decided it wasn't worth the money to keep going back. Remember at the same time we were going to the moon we were fighting the Vietnam War. After the war ended our economy got real shitty and as I said the motivation to spend the money wasn't there and most of the engineers were working on the shuttle anyways.

I wish we would go back to the moon. I would also like to see us reach mars, at lest in my lifetime.

Ok you were making a good point until this part. Ok first you're not really that much closer to a star even the sun when you're on the moon than when you're on the Earth. Not in any meaningful way anyways. Even the sun is not a "few million" miles away. It's 93 million. The next nearest star is 272,000 times farther away. In otherwords you'd have to go from the Earth to the sun and back to Earth over 136,000 times to travel the same distance it is to the nearest star outside our solar system. the fastest man made ship was Apollo 10 which reached 25,000 MHP. Which means it would take 155 days to get to the sun. It would take 115,000 YEARS to get to the nearest star.

NASA has planned a manned landing and exploration of the Sun.

When a reporter asked how this might be possible, the NASA spokesperson stated that it could be accomplished because the landing would be done at night...

I'll see you on the dark side of the moon...

And remember, sometimes the moon howls, and the wolf is silent!

K.I.S.S.

I was making it simple for the OP. I was making it so a 3rd grader can understand it. I am well aware of the distances as I placed the next nearest star at 4+ light years away. Me adding in all the technical data would only take away from the lesson I was trying to teach a simpleton.

I hope they pack a good lunch and remember to bring their sun screen...
