I read this interview as well and i am not surprised.

Capello is a smart corporate man: he says what's convenient for him and when it's convenient for him.

I heard him saying that AC Milan was the greatest franchise in the world when he was the coach, then all of a sudden he moved to Madrid and said the same thing, then Juvetus.

Plus his AC Mialn that won Chapions League and league in 1994 wasn;t really very offeinsve.

Inter : Ibrahimovic-Balotelli with Stankovic right behind
Milan: Inzagi-Pato with Beckham right behind ( otherwise Kaka and Ronaldhino when they are not injured)
Juvetus: Del Piero-Iaquinta-Giovinco
Fiorentina: Gilardino-Mutu and Melo right behind

Lazio and Udinese in many occasion play with 3 pure strikers in the front line and this is why they have had problems:

udinese: Di Natale, Pepe and Quagiarella ( 3 Italian Internationals)
Lazio: Rocchi-Zarate and Pandev....altough Rossi plyed only with the last two recently and had Rocchi come in later.

AC Milan is not a young team i agree but if all these players are fit and most of all can play all together it's still the best team in Europe.

Ancelotti is one of the best coaches in the world and he is not a defensive tachtician for sure, actually totally the opposite. AC Milan has the most goal in serie A.

Furthermore if our old farts like Inzaghi ( 35 yo) scores 5 goals in two games....frankly i would keep him on the field as much as i can.

Maldini at 40 yo can teach every single EPL defender how to play. But yes his time has come , this is the last year.

Old squad? Pato is 20 yo, Darmian 21 , Flamini is 24, Antonini 26, Boriello 24,Senderos 23,Bonera 28.

All these guys have played on a regular basis.

I'd like to understand how can you bet than you know more football than me , i am not saying i know them all but i do have my ideas... but this is another story.

As far as quality of the plays, tactics, differentiation of type of line ups and yes even players i think the Seria A had not to envy to EPL.

Again Money is always right and the EPL makes lots money and it's a better environment for the fans hence a better league for most.

The match scandal was empathized more than what really was, to those days there are only wire tapping and not real proof of money exchange.

In span and Germany referees were paid under the table but the respective Football associations kept it covered so nobody called the scandal.

In Italy KAKA is not the best player, in one of the best:

Yes i agree with you when you say that the FA invested and changed the face of the EPL, i wish they did that in Italy. Team are not allowed to own the stadium and this is a big drawback.

To sum this up i suggest you to read " the Italian JOB" written bu GianLuca Vialli the former Chelsea Striker where he interviews Many FA officials, coaches and referee.

You'll be surprise reading comments by how the FA "studies" the Seria A in many ways,FA
officials take weekly trips to Coverciano, the Italian Federal Football Academy,where they learn how to organize "courses" for EPL Coachs.

The Referee department visit with regularity Collina ( head of the Italian referee) to learn training techniques.

Maybe you can read the part where the most of the EPL are interviewed , maybe you should read what they say about the Serie A and how the "study" the games.

This is also bullshit: Milan: Inzagi-Pato with Beckham right behind ( otherwise Kaka and Ronaldhino when they are not injured) David Beckham is NOT a striker! he's a midfielder. Manchester untited on Saturday against LFC played with 4 forwards(3 strikers): Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, and Berbatov (all world class players). The Serie A is slow, defensive, boring and the matches are terrible to watch. The french league, La Liga and the EPL are all far more entertaining to watch. You saying about that book 'the italin job' Written by Vialli, When was it published? i'm willing to bet longer than 5 years ago. Also the Scandal in Serie A was terrible and shows how fixed and corrupt the league is. I would rather watch PSG vs Marseille (which I did yesterday) and enjoy the match flowing from end to end instead of 8 defenders passing the ball about in there own half before even thinking of attacking. All the english sides play very attacking football and it's excellent to watch. The EPL also is the most watched league in the world and has more fans and viewers than any other league in the world. Channel 4 in the UK used to have football italia on a sunday and it was canceled and removed because the amount of viewers was low and dropping because viewers found the games boring, slow and not entertaining. Also going back to the champions League there has been An english team in the final for 5 years in a row. this will probably 6 this year. You can rave all you want about referees, referees do not make matches interesting, exciting or of a higher quality they merely inforce those who play in the matches. The EPL and La Liga are far more superior in quality than the Serie A.
