Im willing to bet Kaka will leave Milan in the next 2 years too. Maybe not to England or maybe he will. He won't stick around in Milan.

There's a reason the big players don't go to Italy until they are closer to the end of their careers nowadays. 10 years ago Serie A was amazing. Its stuck in the 90's. Too much defending and diving. The premier league moved on, invested on its image and teams benfited from it. Theres a reason all the rich men in the world are buying teams such as Aston Villa, Chelsea, West Ham, Manchester City etc etc.

Not to mention the match fixing scandal which almost brought down Italian football. Its a total farce, its more about politics and cheating than it is about results on the park.

You can argue with me all day, I'm willing to bet I know more about football than you ever will. I live and breathe the sport since I was 6 years old. There's also tons of good points in this thread as to why you are wrong.

The National team is not an expression on the quality of the league. If that was correct then the Brazillian and Argentinian Leagues should be the best in the world.

I'd like to understand how can you bet than you know more football than me , i am not saying i know them all but i do have my ideas... but this is another story.

As many here and as pretty much everybody else you say the the EPL is th best league in the world... OK.. i disagree.

I understand that after 100+ years of mediocre football played in the Uk now you see some foreigners passing able with the heel so you get all excited.

The truth is that the only thing in EPL favor is that it's considered " faster game"..well great but who cares if 3/4 of the players can't stop the ball or 3/4 of the teams can't make more than 5/6 passes in a row?

Most of the goalkeepers are a joke.

Now i do think that the EPL and the FA can teach Italian officials how to make money ( allowing teams to build their own stadiums), how to deal with violent fans and how to deal with players that are not respectful of the game and fans. yes that fo sure.

As far as quality of the plays, tactics, differentiation of type of line ups and yes even players i think the Seria A had not to envy to EPL.

Again Money is always right and the EPL makes lots money and it's a better environment for the fans hence a better league for most.

The match scandal was empathized more than what really was, to those days there are only wire tapping and not real proof of money exchange.

In span and Germany referees were paid under the table but the respective Football associations kept it covered so nobody called the scandal.

In Italy KAKA is not the best player, in one of the best:

Totti ( when healthy), Del Piero,Giovinco, De Rossi, Pirlo, Di Natale, Mascara, Miccoli, Acquilani, Pazzini, Cassano, Buffon, Abbiati,Santon...

man i can continue the list.

Yes i agree with you when you say that the FA invested and changed the face of the EPL, i wish they did that in Italy. Team are not allowed to own the stadium and this is a big drawback.

Players go to EPL just for money, they are professionals so they do thier job.We all would do this.

Luckily there are players like Kaka' which i can BET you that he wont live us simply because his goal is to be the next captain of AC Milan. This will happen.

I am not sure you knowledge of international footbal nut i don't think you watch many International leagues.

The Brazilian league is terrible, slow, slow and slow they keep the grass tall on purpose and also to facilitate the control of the ball.

The Argentinian league is way better and definitely betwtr than most European league.

To sum this up i suggest you to read " the Italian JOB" written bu GianLuca Vialli the former Chelsea Striker where he interviews Many FA officials, coaches and referee.

You'll be surprise reading comments by how the FA "studies" the Seria A in many ways,FA
officials take weekly trips to Coverciano, the Italian Federal Football Academy, where they learn how to organize "courses" for EPL Coachs.

The Referee department visit with regularity Collina ( head of the Italian referee) to learn training techniques.

Maybe you can read the part where the most of the EPL are interviewed , maybe you should read what they say about the Serie A and how the "study" the games.

Beside the different opinions we have this is a good book if you like football:

The Italian Job
