Hell yes I'm fat, fuck when I eat meat it's usually poultry and completely without fat, I don't use greese, my fiance IS a certified Dietitian, so absolutely I am eating healthy.

I walk as much as possible... I excercise as much as possible, including running around and playing with my baby girl...

And freeadultcontent I whole heartedly agree with you, my grandfather is in a wheel chair has been for 15 years now... and his advice would be "invest in an ice pick and make the fat fucks walk to the bus stop"

so here's how it breaks down... I am fat, I eat well, I am on a diabetic diet, and if any of you know about that you know how low fat it is, I eat less than 1000 calories in a day... and ya know what I don't care... I am an arogant mother fucker and that's why I am a Pharoh. any of you that still wish to say that you don't like me you can bow and kiss my fucking feet, since they say that King's use to keep their slaves ignorant... so please step to me with your ignorance and you have in that act shown that you are far less superior than I am...

And when the weather warms up again, I'll be right back out there, working out in the pool every day. I won't be doing it to get hard-bodied, though -- I'll be doing it because I have less pain every day when I have more muscle tone supporting my spinal curvature and shortened leg. It doesn't relieve the pain entirely -- that's what Vicodin is for! -- but it helps.

I'd like to see you live for a week with the pain I have every day and still drag yourself out of bed, much less do sports.

I spend a lot of time swimming when I am capable of it... see there's a thing called rain here, and cold weather and the amount of indoor pools are in the negatives... so, when I can get into a pool you better believe I spend as much time as possible doing it...

and strength doesn't come from being skinny sorry... that's probably the funniest misconception I've heard in ages.

As a person they might be ok but they are quite off putting as a scenery during dinner.

Plus, have you ever sat next to one on a bus on a hot day?

A few can't do anything about it but that does not mean that "normal" people need to accept them nor have to change the way they live because of them.

I never ask anyone to change how the feel about me or others...You can't...They feel that way and that's the end of it, no point trying to convince them otherwise...But, if you publicly bring it to my attention, I'll be dammed if I am not going to lay into you.

The comment about eating is just fucking wrong, possibly others do it...I dunno, I tend to try and not watch other people eat usually...Doesn't really interest me...But, I am very sophisticated...Not someone your going to see a rag stuffed down my neck while I get the biggest plate of meat and grease possible...I dress nice and I present myself quite nicely.

I get that "you are too fat" thing all the time...I am also a certified personal trainer....I only train for powerlifting people, tho.

I am 5'5" and weigh 275 lbs....at 11% body fat. Here is a pic from last years world championships breaking the APF seniors world record deadlift at 865lbs.

Just a technical note for the swimming exercise people. Swimming is an absolutely wonderful exercise for your cardiovascular system. Unfortunately, most studies have shown that swimming causes people to develop a thin layer of fat because of all the time spent in the cooler environment that being in the water creates.

If you want to lose weight, eat right, do a combination of intense aerobic and anaerobic exercise. Make sure you stay hydrated. Make sure you never skip a meal...you create a "starve" response in your body...four smaller meals a day is great.

Now, if you are a powerlifter, I am at 8000 calories a day right now and will increase to 12000 calories in the coming weeks for the Nationals. 2 grams of protein for every lb of bodyweight.

Bodybuilders have some similiar regimens, but they are a bunch of losers, so I don't hang with them.

I wasn't referring to the worlds fastest swimmers, I am referring to the fitness swimmer. For the record, it wasn't one study, there are many studies confirming the same thing.

If you train hard enough to be world class in any extremely physical sport...you are going to be ripped.

On the other hand, the card game bridge is in the next Olympics, they put in countless hours jogging to get in shape for card playing.

What I love are the thin people on this preaching about what to do. Like they are thin because of discipline,no its they were lucky in the gene pool. True number 98% of people that lose serious amounts of weight gain it all back, does the weight center keep tabs on those people five years out. Are you stupid enough to think we want to be fat and uncomfortable? I have lost 400 lbs in my life time and it creeps back. I am fighting biology and biology tends to win. I have practiced more sheer willpower in my life than most thin people ever have to in their lifetime. Missing out on whole parts of my young years not having the experiences others had. I dont ask for pity or anything from anyone but dont give stupid,uneducated comments about something you dont have the first idea unless you have been in the shoes of someone that has to lose 100+ lbs. I quote the guitarist from poison in there behind the music "it was easier to kick heroin, than to lose the 70 lbs of weight I had gained"

I feel that way about smokers and drunks....but I don't hate people that smoke and/or people that drink

Like I said, I know I can diet and spend hours working out and lose weight, but I'd rather eat what I enjoy, spend my time doing something I have fun doing, and again, my Dr. says I'm as healthy as they come

As far as the handicapped parking places - did anyone stop to think that maybe these people are overweight BECAUSE they're handicapped? If they have a handicapped parking sticker//plate/placard, then let's assume their doctor knew what they were doing when they issued it

I live in a retirement community with about 1/3 of the cars with handicapped plates - there's STILL always SEVERAL spaces available every where I go. If you're handicapped and you can't park because someone w/o a sticker/plate/placard is parked there, call the non-emergency number for the police and have their car towed In Atlanta, there's a group of handicapped people that are licensed to give out tickets to people misusing the spots - see if that's available where you live.

Sorry, that's simply not true. I'm "thin" because I eat healthy food and because I go to Gold's Gym every single day, including holidays. I USED to be overweight, so I feel I can talk about this freely. I lost the weight and I kept it off by maintaining the healthy lifestyle AFTER I lost the weight. That is the key.

The problem with most people is that they get on a strict diet, starve themselves, lose the weight and then quit everything. Surprise, suprise, they always gain the weight back. The trick is making a LIFESTYLE change! Not just going on some diet for a few months. You have to WANT to eat healthy, you HAVE to work out, and you have to commit to doing it for the rest of your life. Yes, of course I'd love to eat a Big Mac and super-size fries once in a while, but I'd prefer to keep my heart healthy so I refrain from eating like a pig.

Of course losing weight is hard, no one ever said it was easy. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. It's a choice. You either choose to eat a lot and not work out, or you choose to eat healthy food and work out. VERY few overweight people are overweight because of genetics. Like I said, I used to work at a weight loss center and I know this from first-hand experience.

I BEG TO DIFFER..I'm sitting here watching "Monday Night Football" and I see the majority of these players are not your typical "Ripped" athletes....and I cant' see any other sport that is as physical as American Football (WITH ONE exception being Rugby) where the athletes are outright ripped...like they are in bodybuilding...So I'm gonna have to say that being athletic is not a prime indication of being in shape.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty much stuck with my pool workouts. I can't do aerobic exercise on dry land (unless it's a rowing machine or bike) because of my joints. Even walking too much tends to land me in a fucking world of hurt -- but I can run the ass off skinnier women in the water. My workout regimen in the summer is an hour of running in water up to my shoulders, at a good solid pace of about 7mph. (The water resistance has absolutely carved out some great calf and thigh muscles.) I also lift weights and do cardio three times a week for about an hour a time in the gym. I've had skinny friends try to join me in the pool and keep up with me, and give up long before I'm done. I've knocked my weight down about 40lbs or so this way, but what I really care about is the physical therapy aspect of the workout. Being able to move with less pain and be more flexible is a wonderful thing.

In fact, DEFINITELY not. I believe in the full rights of everyone. People with disability did not choose to have that disability, they are human beings and deserve just as much of our respect as anyone else. This includes other minorities such as the gay community or different races. I am not racist nor facist in anyways.

However, when it comes to obesity, people CAN do something about it in 99% of cases. If you want to rant about that gene stuff, go for it, but when you look at the figures (which I have done), it is in an extremely low number of people who are severely affected.

If half of you had read my follow up post, you would have realised my ammendment. I don't mind fat people so much as long as they can admit they don't look good and that they're fat and that they're not beautiful.

Fat people who go around thinking they're beautiful, with the whole attitude and then SUEING companies because they're not getting employed on a job that is obviously based on image, are scum.

If you want to be fat go right ahead, but don't consider yourself beautiful. If you want to do something about it, good stuff, eat right and go to the gym and you'll look better in no time.

You walk up to any young girl and go "hey what do you think of Josh Hartnett?" .. you're going to get 98% of them saying "WOW HE'S LIKE THE HOTTEST GUY ON THE EARTH OMG!" - right?

Opinions on looks vary, but only around fact. Josh Hartnett IS really good looking because the majority of girls view him as being that.

When it comes to obesity, you'll find the majority of people view them as UGLY, ok? Therefore it is fair to say they ARE ugly.

If you want to attract the opposite sex (or the same sex, whatever floats your boat) then you want to look good as per the general consensus of people. If you just want to feel good about yourself, then go stand in a mirror and say I am beautiful until you feel good about yourself.

There IS a difference between someone saying "brown eyes are ugly" and "fat is ugly". The reason is, the latter is accepted by the general population (why don't we see grossly overweight people on the cover of Girlfriend magazines?) and the former is far from accepted as being so by the general population.

If I had a fat child, I'd be making sure he/she would play lots of sport and went to the gym when of age.

Agreed. One of my best friends is an identical twin. She is thin and in great shape, but her twin sister is about 50 pounds overweight. The difference between the 2 girls....one goes to the gym and eats healthy and the other doesn't. And no, their personalities are not identical either. The only thing identical about them is their DNA.

Hon, have you not read the stuff I've posted in this thread about being as physically active as I'm able to be? As I sit here posting this, I'm waiting for pain meds to kick in so that I can hold a brush to fix my daughter's hair, and I have a heating pad turned up to High on my knee, which feels like someone took to it with a fucking sledgehammer.

And despite all that, I already do go to the goddamn gym, and eat a 2200 cal a day diet, and you know what? My weight hovers at around 230lbs, no matter what. I have visible muscle in my legs and arms, and right now I can bench about 60lbs, which may not be much, but it's more than my hubby, who doesn't lift weights.

I don't know why I'm even bothering to say all this. Props to the guy who wondered why we were all laying out our histories and justifying ourselves to you -- you aren't ever going to change your mind, and I'm just pissing myself off explaining that the facts of some people's lives may differ from what you perceive them to be.

Whatever. I have better things to do today than mess with this shit -- like do a photo shoot meant for people who like BBWs and think I'm damn cute already, without the gym-rat, skinny body.

Oh my, just saw this! Wow - if your entire life is based on what you look like, then you either have a lot of growing up to do, or you're going to be miserable and make everyone around you miserable What if you're in an accident and can't excercise? What if you have to take medications that make you gain weight? What if this happens to someone you "love"?

To have a number on the scales mean so much to you that you'd kill yourself if you're fat........that's really sad
