All I said is that it's extremely beneficial to Russia economically for them to have Georgia under their control. You can buy into government propoganda all you want, but governments usually lie. That's a fact.

They told me: learn the facts, have your own point of view and don't believe anyone who's trying to shit into your brain.

I with you the same BTW.

P.S. I never wanted to insult you saying that you and your family will die, because I and my family will die as well. I just wanted to warn you to prevent ignorant comment like "we have to help". Who are "we"? are you ready to grab M16 and die for Georgia and Saakashvili (a Stalin's wanabe)? ARE YOU SURE?

You don't know the facts man. In times of the USSR Georgia was a subsidy region. I.e. all other subjects of the USSR have sending the money to it. Georgia have nothing to care about.

Now about the situation in South Osseia. Georgia has started a war, not Russia. Georgian army has killed at least 10 Russian peacekeepers. So what should Russia do in such a case? What the USA will do if it was Russia? Answer to me please.

So when Russia takes over the energy pipelines, it'll just be a lucky coincidence? And Russia isn't exactly the moral compass on issues like this considering some of the atrocities they've committed in Chechnya.

canadian political humour.. it was made by the conservatives i believe

cykoe6 08-08-2008 10:53 AM

South Osseta does not want to be a part of Georgia. It has declared independence. If Kosovo can break away from Serbia under the guise of national "self determination" then why net the Ossetians? It is the Georgians who have invaded South Ossetia. Russia is coming to the assatance of the Ossetians.

(Reuters) - Georgia, where government forces fought pro-Russian separatists on Friday, is an energy highway to the West with two major pipelines routed via the capital Tbilisi.

Georgia and other transit states have an obligation to ensure the security of the pipelines, which follow similar routes and carry oil and gas from the Azeri section of the Caspian Sea.

From Tbilisi, the links head south into Turkey, away from the breakaway South Ossetia region, the scene of the fighting.

They are particularly valued by the European Union because they reduce dependency on Russian supplies and do not cross Russian territory.

But exports of gas and oil have been disrupted following a blast in Turkey earlier this week.

The Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) claimed responsibility for the attack.

* THE BAKU-TBILISI-CEYHAN PIPELINE - The BP-led pipeline was opened in 2006.

It can pump up to one million bpd of Azeri crude along the 1,040 mile route to the Turkish port of Ceyhan. It is the first pipeline to carry large volumes of crude from the Caspian without going through Russia.

* The BAKU-TBILISI-ERZURUM PIPELINE - Also known as the Shakh-Deniz Pipeline, takes gas from the Shakh Deniz gasfield in the Caspian Sea to Erzurum in Turkey. It is jointly operated by BP and StatoilHydro. It began exports to Turkey in 2007 and will eventually be able to carry 20 billion cubic metres of gas.

I don't care where they are running through. I've asked from WHERE to WHERE. Please re-read my question.

P.S. Russian pipelines are running through many countries. Almost through all the EU. So what? Sorry I can't get your logic.

I don't know which country it starts in, but it runs to Turkey. It goes through Georgia. It's one of the biggest pipelines in the world and Russia was not happy about it.

For any person who has a brain it's not strange at all because Russian pension more than 10 times more than Georgian one. Also because South Ossetia already fight against Georgia in the past, but they never fight against Russia. I believe you won't understand me since you have no idea on the things you are trying to speak about. Go on.

Good. Now try to find out. Also try to answer me: why Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan have a lot of resources (gas, oil etc), earn a REALLY BIG money and have no problem with Russia?

hint: They don't kill Russian citizens.

femdomdestiny 08-08-2008 11:57 AM

why

As far as I know, Gerogian "army" decided to run away when they realized that Russian army is going to protect Ossetian civilians.

Why do you care to give explanation? It is very simple, Russians should do that and thats it. No excuse , fake ones ,like Americans are doing on different sides of the world.(putting fake stories and incidents). Go ahead, it was time to do that long ago.

Hehe, believe this happen only because US give 1.000.000.000$ to Georgia to renovate army. It is confirmed issue. One more point to check new equipments and make another one small war.

Pleasurepays 08-08-2008 12:10 PM

hmmm... georgian military attacked peace keepers and a russian base.. and russia responds and people act as if the soviet union just rolled into afghanistan and started stabbing babies.

if georgia hadn't been so focused on harboring chechen rebels, mercenaries and terrorists through the 90s and weren't intiating military agression, maybe they wouldn't be meeting with this sort of response from russia. what do you think is going to happen when you bomb a russian base and kill russian troops and peace keepers and your a little shithole of a country full of assholes who have little to offer the world?

My opinion is that Americans are too close to Russian borders. Drive them away,or everything will be like in Ex Yugoslavia. If Russia back down now, it is matter of time when west will continue to make problems and more problematic regions. This is time to drive them away.
