Has anyone been following this story? It's crazy... I want opinions on how it will end.

I just finished reading Tom Clancy's Rainbox Six and I keep expecting them to bust into the theater and double tap the Chechans in the head.

I think the Russian police should just have rushed in at the start and sorted it out before the terrorists had a chance to secure(mine) the building. Russians are getting soft!

It is a horrible situation and could easily happen in the US... I don't know why the sniper is still the major headline.

The whole place is rigged with explosives, hostages have explosives taped to them, and they have placed ALOT of it in the chairs of the theatre.
Well, they CAN storm it, but it's just gonna be a total nightmare.

I like the US policy of not giving in to terrorists. The russians already gave into them at that hospital, where the chechens took over 2000 people hostage, and now see where it got them....

the us would have given into this terrorist situation. it's a lose-lose situation. the russians will most likely pull out, but they'll be back on a few days/weeks/months.
if they don't, 500 of their citizens will die, and that's just something they won't allow.
or maybe they'll pull out and the the hostages will be killed anyways?
at the very least, the chechans are going to die

The Chechens may be given safe passage out of Russia, it has happened before. But like I said, it only encourages MORE terrorism to come.

Though I seriously doubt this will have a peaceful ending, as the Chechen muslim bastards have said they have come there to die, and they call themselves the "29th suicide squad" or some shit like that.

Tough situation. Its hard to negotiate with a muslim extremist because they don't value their own life. The bad thing is, the longer it goes on, they will waste more hostages.

Does who weren't interested in converting were brutally murdered. Nazis are christians and they've killed millions of jews and other people. The chinese and russian governments were composed of atheists and they killed tens of millions of people in their own countries. Look at the dude who did the Oklahoma City bombings. He was American. The people at Waco were American. The sniper was born and bred american and is even an army veteran. Sure, he converted to Islam. But look at all the other serial killers who came before him.
