You're professing knowledge of these people, but you have none. You read a news article about this situation, saw the word muslim and immediately chalked this situation up to religious fanaticism. So you come across as an ignorant, prejudiced prick. If that was your goal, then job well done.
As for me being a muslim-hugger, I have one friend who is a practicing Muslim. I admit that I don't agree with many aspects/interpretations of their religion, but then again, I don't agree with a lot of Christianity or Judaism's aspects eithers. If you ask me, religion is a crock.
But people are free to believe what they want, and judging them because of what they believe is wrong.
Had you made a comment about Christians being scum because they're Christian, I would have made the same argument.
