By 'Nazi way'? The Soviets invented the 'Nazi way' - the famine already pointed out is just one example of that. If Nazi Germany hadn't of started a world war in Europe the Soviets would of done so in short time anyway, they wanted a bolshevik world after all. The US, England, etc decided to make a deal with the devil, a devil who was no less evil than Hitler by ANY means, but perhaps the head of a less advanced, less threatening regime. The UK could of chose either side, Nazi Germany very honestly wanted peace with England, instead they chose to side with the Soviets. I guess in hindsight they got it right, the USSR, for all its glory was far less powerful than a Nazi state encompassing the same land would of been.

I've seen that same picture attributed to a variety of events including the Russian civil war (Reds vs. Whites) and the Red Army's advance into East Prussia some 25 years later. More often though, I've seen it attributed to the various internal Soviet crackdowns of the 1920's and 1930's.

Tis True, The Nazi's fucked up firstly by dismissing the alliances of England, France, Spain, Itally and America. That was the number one mistake. Nazi's got land for Peace, and Independence from the rules of WWI Treatise. Nazi Germany had excellent trade with America and most of Europe after WW1 and even during the Preamble to WWII, the relations were solid and made great economic sense for everyone. The Hindenburgh did not burn in Germany it Burned in America.

The 2nd Mistake Nazi Germany made was killing the Jews.

IF Nazi Germany did not do both of those things Nazi Germany would exhist today and perhaps would have been Allied with most of Europe to thwart the Communists of Russia.

If that had happened far less people would be dead than what has happened in reality.

One thing that people need to understand about the crimes of the Soviets (which are horrific in scale) is that millions of Russians suffered and died along with the Ukrainians, Chechens, Latvians etc. It is not accurate to place the blame for all the atrocities on the Russian people.

Leninist/Marxist ideology was an intellectual sickness which afflicted many different groups and cultures. The Russians themselves are no more culpable then the Western intellectuals who subsidized and supported Lenin and Stalin's crimes against humanity. For the most part Russians were victims just like everyone else of a dedicated minority of madmen who were cheered on by the western leftists and intellectual sitting in cafés in New York and Paris.

Lenin and Stalin's crimes would not have been possible without active support and a dedicated propaganda effort from European and American leftists. They have the same blood on their hands as any Chekist...... they just did their dirty work form the safety of the "decadent" West.
