I know who it is ;)

Its a great idea, set up a rehab sponsored by pillbucks.com and have a livewebcam in there cabana18 style. Its going to be busier than an avn show floor.

xxxjay 03-26-2008 01:45 AM

I don't think this show is good place to start rehab.

It is, however, a great place to relapse!

rehab doesn't start at the show.

intervention starts at the show.

rehab is the weeks and months afterwards!

Well, I'm still iffy on the whole intervention concept, but, having talked about who it is on ICQ, I guess it might be the only way to reach them. Hopefully having law enforcement there will help save someone who needs help without getting anyone in trouble at any of the parties.

nico-t 03-26-2008 06:49 AM

is see people talk about 'this person' and 'they'
so whats the deal does he have multiple personality disorder?

oh and i still think it's a very very stupid idea, but whatever

should I initiate an intervention in phoenix?

If you are on the level here DO IT! Having been on both sides of this electric fence, it took friends to *force* my paradigm to shift...

Good luck sleazydream!

ChefJeff 03-26-2008 07:16 AM

Is pot smoking in this category?

cykoe6 03-26-2008 07:25 AM

As someone who has more than 7 years of sobriety I have to say that this sounds like a uniquely bad idea. I am assuming that this thread is some kind of inside GFY joke.... at least I hope so.

Remember life is not a reality TV show..... I know that lately it is becoming hard to tell the difference. :upsidedow

Holly 03-26-2008 07:44 AM

Okay- first guess

Is it KB?

And if it is... see if they have the 3 year, mandatory in-house with no net access plan. I would probably chip in on that.

Miz_Wright 03-26-2008 08:22 AM

Sleazy, I hope for the best for you and your friend. There are some safe folks who are clean in the industry (I know Chad's outed himself, so have I, and if I recall correctly, a bunch in the "Who Doesn't Drink" thread) - so there are always people to hang with and feel secure.

Best of luck to you all on this.

Let me know if I can help.

Seriously, LSD can be used to get rid of serious addictions.
Google up Andrew Feldmar.

I hope you succeed.

Is someone going to update this thread? I can think of 20 or folks just off the top of my head this could be so it will be interesting to see who the WORST cokehead webmaster is ;)

Due 03-26-2008 01:59 PM

If this guy is your friend, bring it up to him personally, dont get a crowd to jump on him, he will feel assaulted and it will help him believing drugs is the answer since he obviously could not trust his friends.
Many that will offer their help on this is not his friend neither, they just want in on the action so they feel important since they got some stories to tell.
Not to mention the chances of such things going wrong at a show is big, especially if the guy is already on something, it could destroy or tarnish his online business as well assuming he got one.

And for all of you fat webmasters at the forum stuffing your faces, maybe they need to have an 'intervention' next time you sit down at the buffet?

Sometimes you just have to do things for others, even if you know it might not have a good outcome for yourself.

and even if the haters use it as fodder (and they are)

Imortyl Pussycat 03-26-2008 02:32 PM

hi Scottie, I'm with you 100% on this one. You wouldn't be doing this at the Forum if you didn't know this person well enough to know that it will have the biggest impact and best odds of acceptance at the show. If the industry is the only family your friend has, they may have a slightly better chance of recovery feeling accountable to so many at this point. I guess if your friend has any doubt that their drug use is perceived as a serious problem you can always open this thread for them. Best of luck to everyone involved in keeping your good friend above ground.

Mike Dutch 03-27-2008 05:58 AM

I talked with the person and he is very willing he just told me :)

Michaelious 03-27-2008 07:44 AM

From my experience you can't say anything, the person with the problem has to hit a learning curve where they realise they want to change. People create their own realities good or bad. Also if you haven't been there yourself your not going to be much help.
