:mad WARNING: GFY Member "Boobs" has Scammed Myself and Others

I posted this in the Buy/Sell forum but the guy does post occasionally in here. This is just a heads up to those out there so you don't get scammed by this guy. Wasn't a ton of money, but he has been spamming the fuck out of the buy/sell forum lately and don't wan't anyone else to get burned.

Original thread here: https://gfy.com/sell-and-buy-forum/798811-warning-boobs-scammed.html

Here is another individual with the same exact scenario having been ripped off for hundreds of dollars.

https://gfy.com/sell-and-buy-forum/755761-i-just-wanted-everyone-here-to-know.html

I know permanent isn't permanent. But I also know that charging guys hundreds of dollars for links that are gone in a week is pretty ridiculous. I'm an understanding guy. If he can't pay his hosting bill, decided to sell the sites, fine. Just tell me, return my money, no hard feelings. Instead he has ignored e-mails and posts regarding the matter while continuing to operate on the forums.

As for proof, I have ICQ logs, paypal transactions, whatever is needed.

Myself and Pink Panther are not the only ones ripped off by Boobs:

https://gfy.com/13552027-post62.html
https://gfy.com/13394952-post21.html
https://gfy.com/13411517-post3.html
https://gfy.com/13613961-post25.html
https://gfy.com/13615113-post29.html

That's just what I've seen lately here lately. He's been called out by others on other boards for trading links for a site on one forum while trying to sell that site on the other.

Like I said, I'm an understanding guy. People forget about links they've sold, trades they've made, etc. Sites get dropped for all sorts of reasons. Just come forward and let me know what's going on.

I don't call people out on the boards much at all. And sure $240 isn't a lot of money and just part of the game. But I think it's time people were warned about this guy before they do business with him. Sure he's made good dealings with some people, but he's also ripped off quite a few people here too. I don't give a shit about the money, I just don't want to see anymore honest guys on this board get ripped off. Do business with this guy at your own risk.

Seems he has disappeared since your original post. I haven't seen much of him anyway.

Bump for getting the word out.

Interesting. He did some ok work for me setting up some blogs.

As for buying links, it's a minefield I never play in. Simply isn't worth the hassle.

He's been doing this for about a year now. He claims because he "sold" the sites it is okay to do. That's fine but he is PLANNING on fucking you which is not cool.

buying links from him is certainly not a good idea, i don't think he has ever built a site with the intention of keeping it up. anything he puts up is meant to be flopped asap. he profits by ripping off newbs, flipping overpriced domains, and taking whatever other shady opportunities he sees pop up....

Everytime he creates a thread I usually make a post in it warning the noobs.

How experienced webmasters are getting taken by this guy is way beyond me.

He registers crappy generic domains, puts crappy generic content on it with free templates and flips it 2 months later for x10 profit.

I didn't realize he was selling links too

i sold links, sold the sites, told new owners to leave the links, he takes em down, i cant really do much.

i deal with lotta people here on the daily and its ok they dont want to get involved with this but they know i deliver and never ask for money upfront as long as you're reputable.

i've NEVER scammed anybody, you always got what y ou paid for and because the new site owners doesnt want the links up in their site is beyond my powers. i repeat, the new owners taking down your links doesnt automaitcally make me a scammer.

now carry on and make a new thread...

So lets get this right.

1. You sell link spots on your domains.
2. You then sell the domains to webmasters
3. Ask the webmaster you sold the domain to, to keep those links.
4. Webmaster that purchased the link spots complaine because you took their money and then sold the domains.
5. You say its OK.

Right. Just wanted to get that clear.

please one time somebody actually come in here and prove that i personally scammed them

me selling links then selling my sites is not scamming anybody. its my decision to sell my sites and me telling the new owners about the links is the best i can do.

so please somebody come in here and prove me that i took their money without delivering.

If you're going to sell a "permanent" links on a site, you better plan on keeping the site if you're going to market it that way. You knew when you sold the links that you planned on selling the site so you should have been upfront about them being possibly temporary. How can you sell a site and expect the new owner to keep your links up.

I agree with you killa. I guess it would kinda suck if you sold link spots for some outrageous amount and then sold the domain days later, but other than that i dont see what you did wrong. If you sold the link spots for a certain amount of time, for example "$xx.xx for link spots for 6 months" and then you sold the domains before finishing out the time frame you promised...then you might have kinda owned someone. To the guy calling boobs a scammer, what was the original deal when you paid ?

Selling a hardlink on a site and then selling the site IS a scam in my book.
If you're selling hardlinks you should either garantee they stay up or refund the hardlink buyer.

people who knowingly decieve always believe they are in the right...so no point in arguing with them...in their eyes they did nothing wrong.

selling hardlinks knowing you will sell the site the next day is decieving, unless you say upfront that the links are only good for x amount of time.

You dont just wake up and sell your domains one day...he must have been planning on selling the domains and then tried to make a few extra $$ by selling links then running. "IF" thats what he really did. The only defense for the dude from me is...if i had blahblahblah.com and sold someone a link and then someone comes along and offers me big $$$ for blahblahblah.com ....i dont think i would refuse the sail because i sold some hardlinks. I would at least offer to refund a portion of what was paid but i dont think he owes back 100% unless he really did sell the domain the next day.just my

this guy isnt being approached...he is actively listing his domains everyday...sometimes as many as 10...so he sells the links knowing he is going to sell the domain as soon as possible.

If you can buy a domain one day for 8 bucks, and sell it the next for 80, god bless you, keep up the good work, I think the point is, if you know you are going to sell the domain, why sell links on it, if there is only a small chance the next owner will keep them up. Are you 'scamming' maybe yes, maybe not, but the premeditation of your actions is shady to say the least

do one two things, sue him, or sue the new site owner... There is a contract here.. LIFETIME HARD LINKS.... Someone broke the contract.... selling the site is not a legal way out of a contract... New site owner may have offered to abide to contract, then it's new site owners problem, if new owner was unaware then contract was broken by seller.

You may be entitled to rewards,, if this guy is in your locale sue the shit out of him, you may get 5k reward in small claims court for fraud

You can't sell a car with an outstanding contract or bill, and because you sold the car, its the new owners problem now... Don't work that way..

And yes this is a blatent scam.. Quite frankly i bet you even know or ARE the one you sold the site too, so you can sell it again later

You didn't sell most of these sites, you told me they were "being moved to a new server". You even tried to sell me more links on those sites while they were down by claiming they'd be up any day. So your story about selling it to a new owner is bullshit. Over half those domains you sold me never changed ownership, registrar, or anything. The hosting for them simply went down.

Selling hundreds of dollars of permanent links to people and selling the domain a week later is downright shady. If you consider $240 for a link up a week "exactly what I paid for", you are insane. There isn't a single person on this board who would pay that kind of money for those links for a week. Hiding behind a "new owner" is pathetic.

At the time I figured that you had gotten in a jam and had to sell the sites or just couldn't afford to host them. I didn't even bug you about it. But when I see tons of other threads and posts about the same situation happening to them, I knew your intentions were not pure. You can call it business by saying "it's the new owners responsibility". Fact is I didn't buy the links from the new owner, I bought them from you. I also know you NEVER told myself or the others that the domains were going to be out of your control in a few days. That's a fairly important thing to disclose.

You can say it's just business. In my book it's a downright scam. You had full knowledge of what you were going to do and tried to make a quick buck on those domains. For being such a reputable guy, you sure have a lot of people who have claimed to be scammed by you. If people choose to do business with you, that's fine. I'm just warning others of my dealings and a fairly long history of similar activity.

First, I paid you by Paypal.

Second, you ignored me and others on this matter for awhile. Someone just popped up the other day in a thread saying he had been e-mailing you over and over with no response. I asked you nicely in a thread about a refund, you told me to e-mail you, I did, got no response. I reminded you in one of your threads about the e-mail, you ignored it. It isn't like I just popped on the board one day to call you out. If you had intentions of paying me back, you would have taken 5 seconds to say it.

As for what I expect, nothing. I never expected to get a refund from you. Your reputation is being hurt because of your business practices, not anything I say. I am simply posting my story and linking to others. People can make their own judgements.

It's not worth that much trouble. I've probably lost more just taking the time to post all this crap on the forum.

I just don't want anyone else being ripped off, it seems like there are quite a few already.

It sure is.

By the number of times you have done it Boobs it looks like you never had ANY intention of keeping your sites and all the time you are selling 'permanent' links.

I hate this shit.

From all the posts here I think it's most definitely a scam. Several people are relating the same stories. Bought PERM links that were gone in a week. It doesn't really matter after that point who owns the damn sites. Some one paid you good money (even if it's only ten bucks) for PERM links, to remove those for any reason with out letting the buyer know and refunding a portion of the money is a scam. Now I realize I'm new to traffic buying and trading but I would be pissed if this had been me. Getting good links is hard enough with out having to worry about some one taking your money and not giving you what you paid for. Shameful....

Selling links then selling the sites in such a short period of time and then not refunding the buyer when the links get taken down sounds like a scam to me.

Not to mention that you seem to be doing this over and over again.
