WARNING: GFY Member "Boobs" has Scammed Myself and Others
I posted this in the Buy/Sell forum but the guy does post occasionally in here. This is just a heads up to those out there so you don't get scammed by this guy. Wasn't a ton of money, but he has been spamming the fuck out of the buy/sell forum lately and don't wan't anyone else to get burned.
Original thread here: sell-and-buy-forum/798811-warning-boobs-scammed.html Quote:

i just noticed in the buy and sell thread that he has listed lots of names for sale.
I hope he pays you back man. |
Seems he has disappeared since your original post. I haven't seen much of him anyway.
Bump for getting the word out. |
Interesting. He did some ok work for me setting up some blogs.
As for buying links, it's a minefield I never play in. Simply isn't worth the hassle. |
He's been doing this for about a year now. He claims because he "sold" the sites it is okay to do. That's fine but he is PLANNING on fucking you which is not cool.
|
hmm interesting

Everytime he creates a thread I usually make a post in it warning the noobs.
How experienced webmasters are getting taken by this guy is way beyond me. He registers crappy generic domains, puts crappy generic content on it with free templates and flips it 2 months later for x10 profit. I didn't realize he was selling links too |
That's pretty fucking sleazy.
|
hmm--- that is not good biz.
|
He'll be back as soon as this thread's forgotten.
|
Lets keep bumping it then!
Wasn't boobs that same guy selling that domain at $500 to tons of webmasters and he didnt even own it? or was he just using boobs name. |
That guy think that there's a lot looser in the net.. hope he pay's you back mate
|
He makes 5-10 threads a day about domains for sale
|
Bump... you damn spammers!
|
Death to scammers
|
i sold links, sold the sites, told new owners to leave the links, he takes em down, i cant really do much.
i deal with lotta people here on the daily and its ok they dont want to get involved with this but they know i deliver and never ask for money upfront as long as you're reputable. i've NEVER scammed anybody, you always got what y ou paid for and because the new site owners doesnt want the links up in their site is beyond my powers. i repeat, the new owners taking down your links doesnt automaitcally make me a scammer. now carry on and make a new thread... |
PK i was gonna refund you but u gave me about 3 days to try and fund my epass but all throughout the boards you call me scammer this scammer that to try and ruin my reputation about and then u expect me to pay u back for links which i delivered? come on, u cant trash me and expect me to pay u back :2 cents:
|
and for you fuckers who hate on me about selling 1-2 days old domains can suck my dick.
business is business. you want the domain u gotta pay me for finding it. doesnt matter if its a 1 day old domain. ITS MINE! try and register it for 8.95 and it'll say its taken by me, and guess what I'm selling it for 10x booo fucking hoooo |
You refund their money if you sell the site.. we know the scam... we also know the sponsor of your sig and we will be in contact with him. Hows that for a treat?
|
So lets get this right.
1. You sell link spots on your domains. 2. You then sell the domains to webmasters 3. Ask the webmaster you sold the domain to, to keep those links. 4. Webmaster that purchased the link spots complaine because you took their money and then sold the domains. 5. You say its OK. Right. Just wanted to get that clear. |

let me know where i went wrong |
please one time somebody actually come in here and prove that i personally scammed them
me selling links then selling my sites is not scamming anybody. its my decision to sell my sites and me telling the new owners about the links is the best i can do. so please somebody come in here and prove me that i took their money without delivering. |
If you're going to sell a "permanent" links on a site, you better plan on keeping the site if you're going to market it that way. You knew when you sold the links that you planned on selling the site so you should have been upfront about them being possibly temporary. How can you sell a site and expect the new owner to keep your links up.

on our list of available 2 weeks ago and we passed on them $7.50 registrars and wasted $100 on you.. Won't happen again... Impulse once, won't be fooled again. FTR all those who cares, he registers domains and tries to flip em next day.. caught me on fistingdollars.com for $100, my boss was collecting em so i snatched it too quick... my bad I didnt want the domain after i looked it up, but i said i would buy it... I am honest your just about as shady as they get |

dude he sold a ton of people lifetime links and then sold all the sites the next day lol
|

like i said, how is that a scam? LOL people around here throw the word "scam" around like its nothing. you slept on it, i got it, you still want it, now you gotta pay me for it. i delivered. now what are you crying about? |
Selling a hardlink on a site and then selling the site IS a scam in my book.
If you're selling hardlinks you should either garantee they stay up or refund the hardlink buyer. |

Pretty simple. |
people who knowingly decieve always believe they are in the right...so no point in arguing with them...in their eyes they did nothing wrong.
selling hardlinks knowing you will sell the site the next day is decieving, unless you say upfront that the links are only good for x amount of time. |

If you can buy a domain one day for 8 bucks, and sell it the next for 80, god bless you, keep up the good work, I think the point is, if you know you are going to sell the domain, why sell links on it, if there is only a small chance the next owner will keep them up. Are you 'scamming' maybe yes, maybe not, but the premeditation of your actions is shady to say the least
|
do one two things, sue him, or sue the new site owner... There is a contract here.. LIFETIME HARD LINKS.... Someone broke the contract.... selling the site is not a legal way out of a contract... New site owner may have offered to abide to contract, then it's new site owners problem, if new owner was unaware then contract was broken by seller.
You may be entitled to rewards,, if this guy is in your locale sue the shit out of him, you may get 5k reward in small claims court for fraud You can't sell a car with an outstanding contract or bill, and because you sold the car, its the new owners problem now... Don't work that way.. And yes this is a blatent scam.. Quite frankly i bet you even know or ARE the one you sold the site too, so you can sell it again later |
new site owner of eroticweblog.com is located in NY, thats a online filing fee of some $50 for small claims court.. go get some pizza and lunch one afternoon there and don't let any scammer walk ever....
|
Bumped to spill out the scammers! :)
|
same thing happened to me. bought a link, link went up, then a while later, link was gone.

Selling hundreds of dollars of permanent links to people and selling the domain a week later is downright shady. If you consider $240 for a link up a week "exactly what I paid for", you are insane. There isn't a single person on this board who would pay that kind of money for those links for a week. Hiding behind a "new owner" is pathetic. At the time I figured that you had gotten in a jam and had to sell the sites or just couldn't afford to host them. I didn't even bug you about it. But when I see tons of other threads and posts about the same situation happening to them, I knew your intentions were not pure. You can call it business by saying "it's the new owners responsibility". Fact is I didn't buy the links from the new owner, I bought them from you. I also know you NEVER told myself or the others that the domains were going to be out of your control in a few days. That's a fairly important thing to disclose. You can say it's just business. In my book it's a downright scam. You had full knowledge of what you were going to do and tried to make a quick buck on those domains. For being such a reputable guy, you sure have a lot of people who have claimed to be scammed by you. If people choose to do business with you, that's fine. I'm just warning others of my dealings and a fairly long history of similar activity. |
don't let him scam you man...

Second, you ignored me and others on this matter for awhile. Someone just popped up the other day in a thread saying he had been e-mailing you over and over with no response. I asked you nicely in a thread about a refund, you told me to e-mail you, I did, got no response. I reminded you in one of your threads about the e-mail, you ignored it. It isn't like I just popped on the board one day to call you out. If you had intentions of paying me back, you would have taken 5 seconds to say it. As for what I expect, nothing. I never expected to get a refund from you. Your reputation is being hurt because of your business practices, not anything I say. I am simply posting my story and linking to others. People can make their own judgements. |

I just don't want anyone else being ripped off, it seems like there are quite a few already. |
Here's a bump...
|
You can't sell links on your site then sell the sites and HOPE the new owners keep the links up dude. That is a scam

By the number of times you have done it Boobs it looks like you never had ANY intention of keeping your sites and all the time you are selling 'permanent' links. I hate this shit. |
From all the posts here I think it's most definitely a scam. Several people are relating the same stories. Bought PERM links that were gone in a week. It doesn't really matter after that point who owns the damn sites. Some one paid you good money (even if it's only ten bucks) for PERM links, to remove those for any reason with out letting the buyer know and refunding a portion of the money is a scam. Now I realize I'm new to traffic buying and trading but I would be pissed if this had been me. Getting good links is hard enough with out having to worry about some one taking your money and not giving you what you paid for. Shameful....
|
Selling links then selling the sites in such a short period of time and then not refunding the buyer when the links get taken down sounds like a scam to me.
Not to mention that you seem to be doing this over and over again. |
