You dont just wake up and sell your domains one day...he must have been planning on selling the domains and then tried to make a few extra $$ by selling links then running. "IF" thats what he really did. The only defense for the dude from me is...if i had blahblahblah.com and sold someone a link and then someone comes along and offers me big $$$ for blahblahblah.com ....i dont think i would refuse the sail because i sold some hardlinks. I would at least offer to refund a portion of what was paid but i dont think he owes back 100% unless he really did sell the domain the next day.just my
