You're fundamentally mistaken in your assertions about these laws. The vast majority have absolutely nothing to do with children.

The purpose of these laws, are for government to allow people to care for one another, without having to rely on the government to provide for them, not the reverse as you suggest.

If two people are willing to be responsible for each other, and take care of each other, it's in the government's fiscal interest to support that arrangement.

As for your other claim, it's asinine. There are a multitude of ways to "invest" in the future of a country other than reproducing. And as I said before, there is no stipulation in any federal law that marriage benefits should only be granted to those having children, which is another strike against your logic (or lack there of).

Teh BoyAlley exaggerates the stereotypes to the extreams. I believe the vast majority of people on here know that. That's his purpose, and that's why he gets so much attention on here.

The reality of gay people is very boring, as a whole we're indistinguishable from our heterosexual counterparts.

My purpose for being on GFY is for the most part to market gay products, and a very exaggerated stereotypical homo is the way to most effectively do that.

I don't attempt to use this forum as a place to "change the minds of the masses". I use other mediums to attempt to do that. This thread being the rare exception.

I understand that, but the problem is when you present a caricature, a stereotype on a forum, you can't really expect people to take your outrage on topics seriously (i.e. the wwc thread) because you yourself are propagating a stereotype for your own benefit.

I realize GFY isn't exactly a place to have serious discussion or debate on social issues and they probably should be ignored on the whole because it's a fruitless endeavor.

Why would any government want to discourage the growth of population? Frankly I think that Tax dollars going towards helping families that have had kids is better spent than sending money to "Families" that do not or umm can not have kids. You are not alone. While your issue is being Gay in America, there are many others who have other issues and each is relevant to them. We are called EXPATRIATES and have proudly moved out of the land so many call the land of the free.

While I do keep a place in the USA to stay at when I visit family or take care of some US business, I do not consider myself an American. I am a human. And as a human I am entitled to make any life for myself that I see fit. If that means moving to another location that allows such a life, so be it. There are 100s of 1000s of us who have left and never looked back. In your case you only need to look as far as Canada and you can live married with your partner and fulfill your dreams together.

It's not a perfect world and the USA is far from a perfect country but you DO have options. To not take action to find a work around for your dream is only cheating you. Nobody else cares. Find a solution and move forward. Chances are you will never look back. I have yet to meet an expat with regrets about leaving the USA.

Having said that, I will also add that I don't have a problem with gays getting married HOWEVER there is still many years of fighting before that is going to happen across the board. After blacks, women and illegal immigrants, gays may get their chance to be equal, but it's still quite a ways away.

I say, stop complaining about gay rights and jump ship to a place that doesn't have a problem with it.
