You have a very different opinion about what a sports cars should be like then I do. I suggest you go for the Lexus car. It looks very sweet and extra money spend for the Mercedes is pretty useless, because you won't be able to take the car to it's limits anyways. And you do not want to.
Mercedes CLK - Brabus tuned - is definately a sports car. It's sad to hear they don't sell them with a manual transmission. They do here. But then again, who needs one in the US. Don't buy the Mercedes just to spend the money. I can think of some other more suitable cars then. Seb. |

like i already said, the S2000 is a sports car, that i will take near the limits. a mb sl500 or lexus is a cruiser, that i would never take near the limits. if you have a very fast connection, take a look at this vid i shot with my S2000 last year. I had to drive slowly or the camera would keep moving out of place - but this is the type of road i am talking about. excuse the heavy breathing, poor compression and bad editing - it was put together in less than 5 min :)

Have you ever considered buying an Audi TT or a BMW Z3 conv. though? They should be around the same price of the Mercedes...

as far as price - the z3 and the sl500 are not even remotely comparable. |

*sigh*
i have narrowed my choices to the new lexus 430 conv, mb clk 430 conv, or possibly the sl500. all are sweet luxo cruisers, not sports cars. i'm going to bed. anyone who gives a damn, tell me which of those 3 you like the best (with the much higher price of the sl being a factor). |

That's one sweet ride man. Nice video too! I think you should just go for the Lexus. I bet they look good together in your garage.

The Lotus Elise IS coming to the USA, probably late summer 2003, and I can't wait! It regularly gets voted the best handling car in the world (Road & Track tested it recently, and voted it second ahead of the Boxster S, 911 Turbo, BMW M3 Coupe and Corvette Z06. The only thing to beat it was the Ferrari 360 Modena, a car which costs 6 times more than the Elise!) and, having driven it flat out around Silverstone race circuit in England, I can tell you that it lives up to all the hype |

driving a sports car is all about going 250km/h on the autobahn
it's a great feeling but it's also fun to go just 140 on a road where 100 is allowed |

The SC430 is a car for retirees. Oh nevermind, by the time you get it, your status will have changed anyway.

![]() The sc430 is amazing. The only thing the car needs is some new wheels. The stock wheels are too damn ugly. Wald & AutoCouture make some great looking kits for the sc. |
