CCBILL Site owners look here ( Stats errors ?! )

This may or may not be an report error, but it would be interesting to find out..

If you look under report -> Transaction -> Form hits

You'll find something called Approval % of Form submissions

From the ccbill FAQ
Quote:
Approval - The number of times consumers were approved.
% of Form submissions - The proportion of times consumers clicked the Submit button on your sign up forms and were approved.
If you compare those numbers with the actual sales reported in the Credit/Check Transactions they should be the same. But the last 2 days they don't.

Let us know your findings

Yeah I know But since they always say that everything is fine, I though I would get some insight from other webmasters.

SteveM

And don't forget the webmasters who will soon come to this thread and call me drama queen, ass hole etc. etc.

As soon as you log into your account there's a 800 number on the right bottom I believe.. maybe.. just maybe you'd wanna dial that number with your questions first?

Well we have been in the biz since 95 so that may be correct........ On a second note, this was a question to site owners with CCBILL accounts. It would make no sence asking CCBILL about problems regaring other accounts. I'm just trying to make sence of the data shown by the admin area, since CCBILL only say that everything looks fine on their end ( standard anwser ).

I average 30 new signups a day with CCBill, the day before yesterday, less than a third of that, yesterday a quarter. Today is dreadful as well. Nothing wrong with the site either. Its CC Bill.

so why am I doing better than normal the same period if there is something wrong with ccbill?

ccbill cashes in on every transaction so why on earth would they want low amounts of transactions?

I have not had a CCBill sale since the beginning of March. I contact them...they say everything is fine on their end. So you mean it's normal for my ratios to drop from 1:400 to 1:10,000? I think I'm going to start removing the links to any CCBill sponsor today.

Well something is going on with CCBill. I just did 14 new signups in the last hour. Perhaps they were going through but not showing?

Dear SteveM,
I was involved in looking into your form validation errors. After seeing your post today, I did look into the discrepancy between your approval and transaction numbers.

The discrepancy is due to CCBill transaction testing. Yesterday, in order to reslove your issue we ran a few test transactions on your account. These transactions will show up as approved form submissions but will not show up as paid transactions.

If you have any questions or there is anything I can do to be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I can be reached via ICQ#248379992

They are never the same. Because many ppl try to submit fake info, to see if it works.

My CCBill numbers have been weird the past couple weeks.

Example .. I use CCBill for my secondary processing and Paycom for primary. Last month, say I got 20 signups a day with Paycom, I was getting 5 or so with CCBill from declines. This month I would get 20 signups but then I will get 0 or 1 signup. I just don't understand how these numbers can be so off. I don't understand how one week I might be able to 100 signups and the next week it might be 20. It all comes down to consistincy. And both processors are not.

Just checked mine for the whole month and I see 1 bonus sale in the quick stats and Credit/Check Transactions compared to approved submissions.

And on a second note ( While I am worked up ) regarding the signup forms ( table errors ). Yes signups will go through, but in older browsers ( did some testing ) because of the table errors. The top banner ( if you have chosen a template that have one ) will not show and the same goes for the language area.

Steve, would you consider contacting our Client Support department about the issues with your CCBill account?

Well I have sent you 3 or 4 emails about this and I have yet received any answer. And between "it all looks fine here" and "this problem is not big enough for us to care about" I just had it. So you just have to excuse me for being a bit pissed off at the moment.

Steve,

I took a look into your concerns about the form hits report. Going back and looking at your account; the day to day stats are accurate, but as you have pointed out the numbers for January are off. I am aware of an archiving process that is completed for the form hits system every three months and this process may possibly be causing a reporting issue. I have brought this situation to the attention of our maintenance department.

As with any CCBill related issue or concern; contacting our client support department is always the best possible way to facilitate an appropriate response directly from CCBill.

Thank you,

I think that You, CCBillKate and Corvette should start work at your client support department. You guys take the time to listen and to give informative answers.

> this process may possibly be causing a reporting issue

Will we ever get the answer to this question? It may be a reporting issue, it may be something else. As long as You don't know what it is, it should be regarded as a serious problem!

It is important to tell when something is wrong, but it is equally important to tell when something is right.

Lloyd Briggs, thank you!!!!

I hope you don't mind me posting this, but I feel that the email you sent me made me feel like a valued client and that is the professional CCBILL I have come to know through the years.

Quote:
I have been reading through the emails that have gone back and forth between you and my department and I am displeased to say the least. One of the responses you received stated that because the concerns you had for the signup form errors ?does not adversely affect your site?s ability to process sales, this issue will not be made a priority?. I want to extend my apology for such a poor response. It has been my continuous goal to ensure that all of our client concerns are made a priority and I assure that shortly after we spoke through ICQ your issues were brought directly to the attention of our maintenance team.

During the most recent system maintenance our development team released a small change to the signup form template system in preparation for the release of a new feature. The new feature I am told is benign and does not affect the way that the signup form receives and processes transactions; however there have been some adverse side effects to the forms, some of which you have picked up on recently. After stepping through several of our form templates with our maintenance director we have found several warnings in the HTML code and have checked compliance against many different browsers. As you have pointed out, some browsers may be affected differently, but all browsers will be able to accept and process transactional information without errors.
Regards

SteveM
