Who produces the best feeds?
I'm just curious as to what webmasters think. I know every content producer thinks theirs are the best, but that's not always the case ;)

http://www.xpleasures.com has some great quality and IMO the best bang for the buck as far a leased plugins.... But then again I work for them...icq me for a user/pass. Or check the end of the riddle thread.

Right now I use SocalStreams.com , Holio's spring break, and a couple others inside dormangels.
I love SoCal's plugin. A lot of girls. Mostly pictures. Some good hardcore videos. I don't like Holio's. Not updated enough. And my members don't really want to see the spring break stuff I'm about to start up with www.gotjizz.com - it's a really good price for quality of videos and girls. For the amateur/college thing I have at dormangels - I think GotJizz will work really well. I thought about amateurplugin - and have looked inside at their stuff. their prices are reasonable - but some of the girls are a bit older - they look 22-24+ |

On our paysites, the most popular feed that we have is Laura's Condo, which is a voyeur feed featuring a 30-somthing alright looking girl.
It is strange b/c she is not a hottie, but the members love her and keep coming back for more. One member even started a fan club site for her. Another one the members like is Cutie Condo... We also have Voyeur Dorm, Tittalk, Voyeur Casa, udorm, etc. which have fairly good looking girls, but they just don't seem to be as popular as Laura's Condo, There is my  Cheers, Muffy

Getting some good answers in here now -- what actually causes a surfer to keep his membership past a trial is a mystery sometimes.
It used to be that certain types of sites were sure to retain -- i.e. single girl sites that updated regularly, well done niche sites, gay sites, but any more it seems that it's not quite that cut and dried. One of the things we try to do with our clients is find ways to help them increase their income. Sometimes we can do that purely by analyzing overall stats for certain things, but sometimes I'd rather hear some opinions to get a starting point from. Keep em coming... |

I'm going to have to agree with Brett. Got Jizz is the best feed out there. I'm not just saying it because we're producing it, I truly believe it. I've been running sites since 1995 (our 7th anniversary of Cyberbabes is in July). We've been producing content that long for ourselves because we couldn't find anything else out there that was worth buying.
Most of the plugins out there just aren't very good. Ours are. We have Got Jizz and Porn in Public - so far we've invested over $200,000 US in those two plugins, they're quite expensive to produce. If you'd like to take a look at them, please shoot me an email at mike AT virtucon dot net. Or you could take me up on a challenge. Go to www.contentspotlight.com (netpond's content resource site) and get an account. Once you get in there, take a look at all the plugins they have listed (once you're in you get full access to all the listed plugins). Alot of users want downloadable content simply because it takes them 30 minutes to download a 5 minute clip, and if they have some favorites they don't want to wait 30 minutes every time they want to see it.

OK so what is the difference in retention is standard content -- you know, X number of this, X number of that, and what I like to call serial content -- i.e. a storyline and updates to the story line -- something like Bangbus or Milfhunter?
Any ideas here? Think it's better? Worse? Whats the ideal update scenario, to not give too much up, but to retain? |

Got Jizz is using pretty much the same approach as Stern. I think most of our members come back time after time to see what Dugmor and his crew are gonna do next.
Our latest funny as nads one was Felicia's last clip where she wasted Dugmor's printer. Great stuff, smashing it against a brick wall. Apparantly she was mad about someone sticking a power drill inside her you know where... The Porn in Public stuff is for those guys addicted to the whole Girls Gone Wild thing. We're offering pretty much the same video as they have (actually sometimes their crew is in our videos, and we have many of the same exact shots at the same time). You see all those infomercials, but we're offering it to your surfers instantly. Believe me, they're not losing money here, the market is huge. We're updating both monthly, so we give people a reason to come back. As far as the download issue, I very much prefer to not allow downloads. If they take everything, all you have left of value to them is the updates. Plus they'll start file sharing your stuff and you're losing value. I am a believer in protection of properties. Bwhaha. I like KK's attitude - a little spunky and right to the point.
just one guys opinion. (AND I'm no expert - this is only my second year of doing the paysite thing) For the first year we only charged 15 a month. For the first couple of months of operation we didn't update on a fixed schedule - we would try to add 2-4 photo sets a month. The last couple of months we've added plugins, added videos, and added photo updates 8-10 times a month, on a regular schedule. The sheer volume of girls, photosets and plugins has helped our conversion rates. As well as our rentetion, our intial to rebill increased 25% compared with the way with used to do things - helping our partners make much more money. We'll see though - on the 2nd of may we upped our price by 5 bucks. Haven't seen any slow down in conversions - but it's too early to tell what if any affect it will have on retention. oh - one more thing about content - our girls do follow a bit of a story - we start out just introducing the girls with a couple tease galleries - but you have to be a member for 2 months to be able to see a NEW angel get to the HardCore stuff. |

Hi everyone,
(Warning: Long Post) I work for Sweet Entertainment and since I've learned alot from reading this thread I thought I'd share our tests/experiences. Two weeks ago we started offering our Sweetloads videos for download to our members. Our member surveys showed repeatedly that over 60% of our members are on dialups and can't get a good "porn buzz" from watching the streams. This has had two effects. First, our bandwidth use went up by 10% and second our trial to first month conversion ratio went up higher than expected (though I'm not saying how much) Initially we were worried about the file swapping services but we watermarked our videos with our URL. This can only lead to beneficial viral marketing since there's no way a fan will be able to get every single one of our 100 full videos off of Limewire etc. If they like what they see they will hopefully join the site in order to get all the videos and updates. Also, they can see the quality and content of the videos before they buy, and especially with the BDSM stuff if "your content is good, they will cum!" You have to remember the people you want, the real "porn junkies" are collectors. If they like a specific line of videos they have to have ALL of them - that's just their psyche. This explains the tremendous retention for original content sites because if a member quits, he's afraid of missing one of the updates and not having a complete collection.. As far as the feeds question goes, we do get complaints when certain feeds go down but we've noticed there isn't that much backlash when we take down one feed and replace it with another in the same niche.... This leads me to believe that the feeds are just icing for members that are waiting for the next update of original content. In answer to KK, I've noticed that there is almost no scenario based content out there. (the nastydollars boys and us - if there's anyone else please speak up!) The feedback we've received from members seems to show that they like variety (not the same pick up line/scenario) in every shoot. For our Buttcam scenarios, our guy has been a Philipino matress salesman, scuba diving instructor, a psychic and an alien abductee! This makes the scene humorous as well as horny... What's needed to build a good fan base is a verbally dynamic personality that runs the shoot. This means producers have to start putting a little creativity into their productions because in addition to being titillating porn should be entertaining! This keeps members waiting for your next update because guaranteed it won't be the same as what the next guy's got. Whether they retain the first month or not, they'll always be back eventually.... Sorry for the long post, just thought someone could benefit.... |
