I knew a guy that did it as part of his "religion". One time he fasted 2-3 weeks, not sure what liquids he drank if any. All I know is the guy never weighed over 140 lbs the whole time I knew him.
I never said shit to him as I respect his religion, but in the back of my mind I thought he was a little crazy :-)

Did it for 5 days before, was hard the first 2 days, last 3 were a piece of cake.

Overall it felt great to clean out. It's as much as a mental thing as a physical thing.

Make sure you have the space to do it, and not the physical space here, the mental space. Don't do it if you have monster deadlines at work happening, or a ton of other crap.

I think my girlfriend and I might try a 5 dayer...It doesn't sound too bad. Basically sounds like "get over hunger, get over initial withdrawal and you are golden"

Absolutely right. That was my experience anyways. I did a bit of reading up on it before I gave it a shot, but was pleasantly suprised at how good it felt on day 3 and after. I could have gone for the full 7 days, but the weekend always makes me want to go out to a nice restaurant so I folded on a Saturday.

I dont do it for weight loss but I did lose 17 lbs once during one..usally about 10-15 would be the norm.

It tastes like lemonaide with spice.. you can make it as spicy as you want.

the idea of the fast is a CLEANSE, not a diet....it cleanses your system, and as a result you will lose weight...but it is for getting healthy, not losing weight

So true. I do them twice a year coupled with a good colon cleanse. They are not harmful at all when done correctly. Actually they are damn good for the body.
