2) Chris from FTV has notified us that one of their models has died. He has also asked that you removed any sets you have of her up, for a sign of respect.

- I handle his FHGs for him. 2 seconds work, sets gone, and all of the links still work.
- You've been given a choice, take them down, or leave them up.

Instead of loving the chance to be insulting, why not take the 20 seconds to take down the sets. Or leave them up. But, while you're doing what you wish, have some fucking respect, and leave out the callous comments.

First, I feel that if the sponsor requests you to take down the images, you should. Yeah it may be a pain, but they obviously feel strong about the situation and in my world I respect those that I choose to do business with.

On the other hand, I think it is silly to request this as a sponsor. I understand it is traumatic, but this was something she chose to do and I'm assuming was paid for at the time. This was a job and nothing more. It is why these girls are paid hundreds of dollars to stand in front of a camera naked. Do we remove all of Chris Farley's movies from the shelves because he passed away? I would hope the family is returning the money that she made for the pictures. Respect goes both ways.

As an affiliate, you are licensed to use the content from the sponsor IF the sponsors gives you that right. If the sponsor tells you to take down a specific set of content FOR WHATEVER REASON, you fucking do it or face the legal consequences of using unlicensed images... If the girl had been found to be underage (which is a risk you take when you promote "teen" type sites), all the complainers would be running around taking down the image without a peep. If you're too lazy to run your business properly then go work at McDonalds.. Idiots.

Everyone is posting their opinion, here's mine.

1. I dont run a tgp and me taking down content isnt as easy as doing a search and clicking remove. I have to go through over 50 sites, find out if the girl is on any of them, if she is I have to switch the content, etc Let's sasy I've put up 10 galleries over 8 domains. That's roughly 30-45 minutes of work. I only work 8 hours a day. That 45 minutes didnt make me any money, and im not getting paid for it. That's food off my table. When I sign up to promote a program, one of the things I look for is credibility. Is this a solid company? Because if they go under, or a model flakes or some other bullshit happens, thats food off of my table. I only want to promote sites that I know are stable and wont ask me to remove content becuase they know how much it pisses me off.

2. I don't know if I could tell a family who just lost their child that I will not remove the pictures. If I was in FTV's position, I probably would have done the same thing. That's why I don't run a paysite. Paysite owners need to learn to take the good and the bad of producing content and not divert their responsibilities onto their partners when shit goes south.

3. I do apologize to those who were effected by this tragedy. The people here who have had negative things to say, I assume, don't mean to make it any worse on you. However it is important that when sponsors tell their affiliates to pull content, that there is a backlash. I want program owners to have this thread in mind next time someone is asking them to pull content for whatever reason. It shows both sides of the storey.

You know, I know of a pretty well-known model who died recently who I know for a fact many people are still promoting. Mainly because her death was not discussed on the boards and spread around to everyone. I don't feel that those who are promoting her are being disrespectful. You are correct, though FTV's support and owners are top class people. The question and how they requested to take down the content fits perfectly in this picture. So be kind and do everything you have in your power to take down that content. (next breath) When a girl dies, we should probably take down her content because it's the right thing to do. No, it's the moral thing to do. Afterall, "many aren't old enough or wise enough yet to consider those consequences beforehand". I'd probably personally take the content down at the families request, but not because I think it's moral or right, more or less because I know there's no shortage of girls turning 18 tomorrow that are down on their luck and a little short sighted and there's plenty of guys with cameras to take advantage of that and sell it to me as a replacement. Yeah it may be a pain, but they obviously feel strong about the situation and in my world I respect those that I choose to do business with. On the other hand, I think it is silly to request this as a sponsor. I understand it is traumatic, but this was something she chose to do and I'm assuming was paid for at the time. This was a job and nothing more. It is why these girls are paid hundreds of dollars to stand in front of a camera naked. Do we remove all of Chris Farley's movies from the shelves because he passed away? I would hope the family is returning the money that she made for the pictures. Respect goes both ways.

If the sponsor tells you to take down a specific set of content FOR WHATEVER REASON, you fucking do it or face the legal consequences of using unlicensed images... I dont run a tgp and me taking down content isnt as easy as doing a search and clicking remove. I have to go through over 50 sites, find out if the girl is on any of them, if she is I have to switch the content, etc Let's sasy I've put up 10 galleries over 8 domains. That's roughly 30-45 minutes of work. I only work 8 hours a day. That 45 minutes didnt make me any money, and im not getting paid for it. That's food off my table. When I sign up to promote a program, one of the things I look for is credibility. Is this a solid company? Because if they go under, or a model flakes or some other bullshit happens, thats food off of my table. I only want to promote sites that I know are stable and wont ask me to remove content becuase they know how much it pisses me off. 2. I don't know if I could tell a family who just lost their child that I will not remove the pictures. If I was in FTV's position, I probably would have done the same thing. That's why I don't run a paysite. Paysite owners need to learn to take the good and the bad of producing content and not divert their responsibilities onto their partners when shit goes south. 3. I do apologize to those who were effected by this tragedy. The people here who have had negative things to say, I assume, don't mean to make it any worse on you. However it is important that when sponsors tell their affiliates to pull content, that there is a backlash. Mainly because her death was not discussed on the boards and spread around to everyone. I don't feel that those who are promoting her are being disrespectful. I would like to think that this girl would want to be remembered and captured in her prime. I ran across her pics on a blog the other day and paused to take a look and remember her beauty, spirit, and the good times that we had hanging out. But, from what Lia said, this situation seems different. We are in an odd industry and I think we have to take things on a case by case basis. Would Jenna Jameson want every movie pulled if she died -- I doubt it. But would a girl who did one shoot and didn't feel comfortable about doing more --probably. So, respect that. I mean really...how many sales are you going to lose from a few galleries? And are those sales worth you being a soulless and inconsiderate asshole? I felt differently before Lia's post, but given the circumstances, I'd say that it might be the right thing to do to take them down this time.
