it wasn't that hard to get a ticket ... we had 4 of us and really went low key at this show ...we were going to skip the playboy party ... Ray and Tim had to jet home early and Lia got an invite By RonC one night while i was at the hotel. I just asked Lens to put me on the stand by list the night of the Xbix awards ( the night before ) I checked with Eric and i was on the list and had to wait till they handed out the passes to get the standby pass ... however Mike from Webair had an extra and hooked me up before i had to wait ... but i would have gotten one just by waiting .. there was only about 20 people on the standby list and i think about 50 no shows ... there was no reason to be a scumbag and jump a bus ....

Just for the record I had a great time and I'll be sending biz to all the sponsors that I'm not all ready ...

Well this thread is starting to rub salt in a wound, I don't know about you Lars but I turned away alot of big clients because we simply did not have the invites. To hear that Playboy had a standby list and US THE SPONSORS did not have the ability to get to that waitlist first is a big piss off.

I turned away 2 big clients at the last minute because I was told there was simply no way I could get them in. Turning those clients away has possibly cost me tens of thousands a month in potential revenue. Then we go to the Mansion and some guy who just waits around long enough gets an invite?? That's bullshit.

I was quite happy with the party and had a great time, but to hear all this stuff now is certainly not making me feel good about the amount of money I spent for an "exclusive" event.

Sorry DH, to cheer you up I had many long time industry veterans come up to me and tell me that this was THE best party they had ever been to in the adult Game. We made a lot of people very happy ! All in all it was a compleate success.

I think crashing that party is a real scum thing to do ... I waited till the last minute to hit up guys that i work with and they had to turn me away for the same reason you had to turn away others. from what i understand a few guys didn't even hand in the lists on time so they made a stand by list (I'm not sure if just anyone could get on the list but I'm sure if you went to lens or Eric they would have put your clients on. I went to lens and being that i have purchased ad space in the past and do sponsor some events he put me on the list. I did see lots of guys get turned away. No Lars I am not complaining about the actual party, it was fantastic!

I'm just upset that things were not handled a bit better on Adult.com's side of thing. I'm sure things will be different the next time as this is the first time an event of this stature has ever been thrown. I'm sure Adult.com was having a ton of issues as well since this is their first time throwing a party there.
