It's really a slap in the face when people behave like this towards sponsers that pay nice cash to throw an exclusive event. Whoever this was, I hope to see them outed. A person who would do this is a person that should be exposed. I'd hate to do business with a rat fink.

Lars, Andrew, sagi, sean, it was great to meet you all ! as well as everyone else I met at the party I'm still sitting here in shock! I will defiantely remember this night forever, my only regret is that I don't remember more of it

I can't believe this thread was even started.

Basically it's a "get out of my sand box cause you're not cool" thread and really shows the character of a lot of people that post here. I have sponsored parties for $100K+ and I didn't give a shit if someone snuck in. Don't blame him, blame the shitty security for not doing their fucking job.

Banning the guy (or gal) from GFY because of something that happened off the boards is just fucking ridiculous. Show me where it states in the TOS that you'll be banned for crashing a party where "big wigs" blow each other. Give me a fucking break!

If the guy "crashed" the party then security needs to be chewed out, not the crasher. And DH, sorry to hear about your clients that weren't able to get in but I have sponsored a shit load of parties and for $40K you should have had an open list. Giving up that much money for a sponsorship and being limited to what you're able to do with it just seems a bit naive. You seem to me a good business man, I can't believe you overlooked this small detail before you gave $40 large on this party.

Rob, with all due respect $40k doesn't even cover the pool cleaning bill at the Playboy Mansion. You can't bark orders at Playboy to do whatever your heart desires, if you want to act like a pimp with 40k go rent out a dance club or something...

We were lucky to be able to sponsor the event, and we're very happy to be a part of it. There were just a few problems that I wish were handled differently...

In retospect I wish this thread never started because it's all I have been thinking of all afternoon and I should be thinking about what a great fucking time I had.

If it cost that much no Hef no playmates ,no celebrities .You should of rented a club or a ballroom. To tell you the truth if I gave you 10 grand of business to get a ticket and basically I get to go a party held at the building no different really then any other webmaster get together. I wouldnt be very happy at all.

Well if someone said buy something for 10 grand and you get to party at the playboy mansion, when one thinks of a playboy party one thinks of Hef lots of playmates, famous people . Especially if the cost of admission is 10 grand.There hasnt been one pic of a playboy bunny, in fact everyone has been saying no playmates were there.

The cost of admission was not $10,000. There were various sponsor packages for various prices. Sponsors received tickets and advertising, maybe something else I'm not sure. And from the people I talked to, there were plenty of Bunny's and girls running around.

Someone could hand you one million dollars and say its yours, the first thing out of your mouth would be "yeh but I have to pay taxes on it."

DH, I understand but as a sponsor (especially one of your caliber) you should have had a lot more say in the entire matter. The fact that you could not get your clients in is absolutely ludicrous. You should have had a nice sized list from the get-go and if you needed any immediate changes you should have been accomodated. Immediately.

Hugh or Playboy did not throw the party (I'm assuming) so the promoters should have provided you with much more for your sponsorship monies. It seems that others that were not major sponsors had no problems getting their guests into the party.

Also, Hugh rents the Playboy mansion from Playboy for $1.3M a year with a yearly operating cost of $3.0M. At $4.3M a year that breaks down to roughly $12,000 a day. I'm sure that you could rent out the Mansion for only yourself and your clients for the $40k you sponsored the party with. If not, then It's probably not much off of that number.

How many sponsors were there and how much was the average sponsorship? The promoter must have cleaned house with the money he/she made.

Was'nt there a thread by Lens saying he had like 10 tickets for talent left and there was going to be 100 playmates already there. Was that true or just a way to make the sponsors feel good and hyped about laying out the cash?

Looking at some of the numbers that were laid out the party grossed around 100k that night in sponsorship money, not sure what Playboy charges for this but to make 100k in a few hours is a pretty damn good night. I am in the wrong business for sure.
