Well.... the people in Gitmo were enemy combatants on the battlefield. Gitmo is a POW Camp. You don't see Bush putting Kennedy into jail for speaking against him do you? That is what Lincoln did.

For your info I have had signs ripped out of my hands and had friends attacked by left wing protestors that didn't want us to have our freedom of speach. You must live in some kind of perspective bubble. I have never seen so much censorship as when I try to have my right to protest and it doesn't agree with the left.

You seem to have a very narrow field of knowledge and experience.

As for Peace during Clinton. Are you nuts? How old are you? This was only a few years ago and you have forgotten all the conflicts that we were involved in during Clinton? Do some simple research if you can't even remember the last 15 years.

I think that the reason why the right brings up Clinton is that there never seems to be protestors when the war is being run by a democrat....

Yea but the Confederacy was formed for one simple reason; because the southern states knew Lincoln was opposed to slavery and viewed him as a threat to end slavery. So the civil war was about slavery. The war wasnt started because the federal govt was trying to impose their will on the south, it was started when the south started siezing federal forts and thus the attack on Fort Sumter.

I would recomend a broader field of research if you are really interested in this subject. Please don't just rely on high-school history books. The issue of slavery was NOT the central issue and didn't come in until later. It actually started regarding land, trading and tariff issues.

Please also review the federalist papers regarding the intent of the constitution as regards to states rights.

I'm not trying to be condescending here, I'm merely suggesting that you get a little more info on the subject.

There are always conflicts going on, but did Clinton ever go take our kids into a battle unprovoked. Iraq is the first and only war this country has ever started with absolutely no reason. Every other war or conflict has been to help allies or after we were attacked.

How many US soldier were killed in Kosovo...............

We have another Vietnam people and we better get used to it. They are sending another 1500 more over. There is absolutely no exit strategy. Shit they are planning for 4 more years of war, right now. Did we learn nothing from that war?

If you love the president and his policies so much, why not volunteer and get on the next plane over there. I already did my stint in the first war.
