Yea but the Confederacy was formed for one simple reason; because the southern states knew Lincoln was opposed to slavery and viewed him as a threat to end slavery. So the civil war was about slavery. The war wasnt started because the federal govt was trying to impose their will on the south, it was started when the south started siezing federal forts and thus the attack on Fort Sumter.
