When i was 16,17 i use to go to tgps all the time, i remember seeing sleazydream once or twice. Uness they tell you that they are underage, you will never know.

You know i was a not an advance surfer back then, i use to go to CJ's and click the thumbs and they take me to another site and no galls. That use to piss the HELL out of me. Im like were the fuck is the gall!!

That would be kinda hard since a lot of kids would just like about their ages. Tracking won't probably help a lot since servers are normally registered to adults, so the kids using them won't get busted.

you can set up a simple script in javascript that forces the user to digitally sign with his birthdate before the user can enter the site. of course, users can lie, but you can put them on notice that they are swearing under the law that this is their true birthdate, and that it constitutes their digital signature. its perjury if they lie or try to circumvent it.

for the hardcore pix, i would keep that behind an avs, but for simple nude thumbs, or adult text the digital signature thing covers your ass. can't be too careful these days.

Strictly speaking, since there is no law making it their responsibility, no. In terms of self-interest, possibly even probably. But therein lies a snag, namely that there is no satisfactory way (not even credit cards) to prevent their access.

Putting age verification into law is also the only way we could try to ensure a level playing field (at least within national boundaries).

The main flaw in that concept is that we are years away from being able to organise ourselves enough to be able to lobby for anything...

I think there is a big difference between the surfers you can call kids who more or less accidently stumble into a porn site, and those in puberty who seek free porn for one of their 15 daily jerkoffs.

If you want to stop teens from watching porn, then remember you are up against one of the strongest human physiological needs, sexuality. Good luck

If you want to stop preteens from watching it, the best way to do is doing nothing except using a filter and a warning. Then its the parents/schools responsibility to limit the kids access by installing the software. If they don't; I can't think of more hypocratic parents that in first place create the market, and at the same time doing nothing themself to prevent their kids from watching it, even if they are offered free software all over. You can compare it with dad buying a porn magazine in the 80's, and not hiding the magazine good enough, and when the kids find it, he blames the producer...dooh!
