I assume you are referring back to "your" XXX thread. If so, and although I shudder at the thought of turning this into another thread like that, you are making far too great a leap to go from "ourselves lobbying for a solution" to supporting the adoption of XXX.
XXX is not a solution we lobbied for. On the contrary, it is being foisted on us for the financial gain of a few and it has the potential to open a back-door by which anti-porn crusaders can much more easily act against us. It does not intrinsically include anything related to age verification, nor can I see that any possible solutions become any easier with the introduction of XXX TLD's.
While the idea of us being organized enough to lobby for anything is laughable right now, within 5-10 years expect at least the corporate entities in this industry to begin to recognize that bowing to the cowboys is not the best way to promote their own interests.
