Check from Webpower/ClickCash/iFriends

After the server outages, after the questionable hit counting, after days of no conversions, I figured it couldn't get any worse...

It did.

A check dated 12/31/01 from Webpower, Inc. (iFriends, et al) got returned to me from my bank NSF. INSUFFICIENT FUNDS!

This is deplorable.

I hope that no one else has had Webpower checks bounce, but I have a feeling this is going to be scandalous. Fuck them and their inept program, I'm sending my traffic to someone reputable.

...I'm shocked. Unless it's just a glitch, it's amazing how they could take such a mammoth money-printing machine and fuck it up. Hummmmmmmmm Maybe I'll hold off on launching SinFriends.Com for a few weeks to see if Ifriends goes belly up ;-)

Who else promotes iFriends/ClickCash here? I know Labret documented his displeasure with and departure from their program in great detail, but there's got to be someone besides us.

I stoped useing iFriends when the shit started to hit the fan. I guess this is just the way they are going to reward the loyal webmasters who stuck with them through the rough times. Sucks when you think of all the quality programs you can send you traffic too

Just wondering was it a big cheque? Have you tried to call them or anything? Its kind of odd in all the post I've seen of people bashing their program on this board and others never once have I seen someone from ClickCash show up to defend it, makes you wonder if they even care.

The guy who runs Stiffy TGP has posted on another board that his check got returned too. Last night when I tried clickcash.com I did not get a 404 - I got a message from our ISP saying that the sight could not be found.

Comparatively speaking, it wasn't a big check.

I just got back from my mailbox and was so incensed by this discovery that my first impulse was to post here. Needless to say, ClickCash doesn't have a stellar reputation for customer service...

And it's only been getting worse.

Steve,

Could you provide a URL to Stiffy's thread/post on the other board?

Also, I just called the number on the check (561-963-9005) to be told that webmaster support could ONLY be handled through the email address [email protected]. So, I just fired off an email and CCed [email protected]... Though I doubt this will get me anywhere.

I've never heard of a webmaster getting a reply from [email protected]

call them again though, youre not after webmaster support, you are chasing a bad debt. Also issuing a check that you knowingly cant fund is a criminal act called fraud.

When I was haveing problems with them the only way I could get someone to talk too was to call iFriends directly... then after jumping through a bazillion hoops and after hours of being put on hold and transferd from idiot to idiot you might be lucky to get some actual help, but don't count on it. I mean hell the ClickCash web site hasn't been updated since last march, that should tell you something

Like I said, it was small. $140. I wasn't making a run on the bank or anything...

Let us know if you have any problems. My bank took 7 calendar days to get this check back to me. They debited my account two days ago. YMMV.

hey guys, are there any decent alternatives to iFriends?

You'd think it would be a goldmine to duplicate their idea, but instead have the pages actually come up once in awhile.

I'm cooking up SinFriends.com over at SinEmpire - it's my next flagship product. The first thing it's going to do is turn the phone sex industry upside down. Then, it will progress to v2.0 and change everything as we know it about live online amateur web cams.

You'll see.

Fro go to http://www.topniche.com/booster/message.cgi

look for the board archives - top rhs of page - hit current archive - and do a cntrlf for #126599

And whoever suggested that checks were good because they come fedex - well who says fedex is going to get paid at the end of the month.

One glitch I can believe - 2 is stretching the friendship - I've seen three now and that pops a big red flag to me.

There's also a post on the ARS board about checks bouncing and someone replied to it saying that they had spoke to someone by the name Dominic at ifriends(webpower) and he said that this has been happening to a lot of webmasters and they are looking into it and it must be a bank mixup or something.

Heya guys, I normally wouldn't sign up for a message board an post right away, but someone posted a link to the clickcash troubles here on another board.

First off, Ifriends bank (bank of America) is taking blame for the bounced checks (there were quite a few.) Most of these checks bounced went out to chathosts and the total was well over $2000 on some. It is completely awful that hosts and webmasters had to go through this (some of my friends wrote their bill checks on their ifriends/webpower check and now are way in debt.)

Checks are clearing fine now and Ifriends posted a statment on the gripes board at their site to redeposit the check or email [email protected] for info on how to get your money.

I can find the number if need for the bank of america flordia headquarters.

I have received support trough email from click cash but its mostly been automated messages

The Dominic person someone speaks of works at ifriends and runs a how to section for hosts. He is very nice and one of the only hard working staffers I have met at ifriends. Got to their site to look for him week days and he will definitely help you with questions.

The reason I post this stuff is because I think not many people just promoting clickcash realize how much help is available (hey its not much but better than nothing lol!) Email me at [email protected] if ya have any questions and maybe I can send you proper contact info for them. I used to chathost there and run a site. Thanks and goodluck!

i know i have said it before but im done with these people. lol i have 200K traffic going to TGP pages that are starting to post from last week and i-friends fucking servers have been fucked up all day so far.

i cant change the pages now.. but thats what i get for thinking things would change.
actually i thought that enough people quit using them that they would be ok. im sure they lost a lot of webmasters in the last week. the crazyness must end now.

thats all i see anymore "501" or "404"

heres the current.....

"501 Not Implemented

Anywho... nobody will be able to touch clickcash at their peak.

I havent made that much money off a damn sponsor so easy since XPics at their peak. What other sponsor is gonna make me 150k+ a year off fucking exit traffic, it was like I found a giant bag of money.

I cant even check stats.

I used to use http://www.clickcash.com/cgi/cc_track.exe but that gives me a 404 now.

Off the main click cash site the url to stats is now http://apps.clickcash.com/cgi/cc_track.exe

Which gives me a 501 Not Implemented
Cannot POST with this URL /cgi/LogInOut.exe

On another note, my check for this week just came, I guess I will try and cash it. My last two checks cleared ok.

Not mine, but snagged from AWI - http://www.angelfire.com/blues/badchecks/index.html

Here's a new alternative to ClickCash that I've been sending traffic to as of about 3 weeks ago, and I've already gotten my first check from them:

<a href="http://www.go4livecam.com/enter.php?refid=100248268">Go For Live Cam</a>

Just click on the left menu bar item "Make Money", and go from there. They work with the same "amateurs at home" theme, but they pay webmasters a commission of sales as opposed to per free sign-up, plus all recurring. Could be better $ in the long run than ClickCash, since your sign-ups stay with you for life. Seems like a more reliable way to pay webmasters too, since there's always a sale to draw the commissions from. I'm not surprised that ClickCash couldn't keep up with paying on free sign-ups, since how many people sign up for free but then never use their service?

I can't speculate on what will happen with Go For Live Cam since it's way too early, but it's worth a shot, I think, in light of all the ClickCash problems. And, they also have German speaking camhosts so you don't lose some of your foreign traffic.

Well guys, I couldn't hold back from joining in on this.

Here are 2 links, one to my bad check for 900 and to the other check for 1600
http://www.ambrizhot2.com/nsf.jpg

and
http://www.angelfire.com/blues/badchecks/index.html

Both NSF, funds are UNavailable. or to put it another way, no fucking money!!!

Clickcash owes me 2 checks as it is, so those plus these total well over 3k.

Also ifriends is offering a 1000$ reward to anyone who can prove they bounced a check. Heres the link for that reward (as if they shall pay) http://ifriends.net/forums.htm

So, what can we do to protect ourselves? My livelihood has been torn apart now. Between my girlfriend and I we make it all on clickcash and ifriends, uh oh.

fuck these international fraud fuckers.

KNKIA you work for ifriends or the fucking bank?

I dont know ANY host or ANY webmaster that would take that much pride in offering help to strangers regarding clickcash or ifriends.

Whats the "good" contact you have to contact them? I just got off the phone with the bank, who is really all I give a fuck about talking to. And there is NO ERROR, NO accident or bullshit as ifriends claims.

Its not Bank Of America, its Bank Atlantic in Lake Worth Florida. And the account is EMPTY, there are no funds, there are no accidents.

I have a check thats 65 bucks one for 140 another for 900 all are NSF. I have personal friends hosts who I go to school with whom are saying their checks bounced as well.

You wanna help? Pay these fucking bank fees that are piling up on all the checks we wrote.

Sorry to be a bit pissed and I know this is my second post, but I have been watching these boards as well as others for months, and I have slowly watched my stats and my livelihood go down the drain for no reason, whatever happened to this sponsor is horrible, and it looks as if we webmasters who stuck it through with these assholes are getting fucked so hard in the end. as well as the chicks whom have pretty much spread their images on the internet for ifriends furthering are now being written bad checks intentionally. and offering a 1000$ reward for anyone with proof on these bad checks being written, well here's your proof again,...

I just had to get in on this fuckin' shit too.

I have just cashed a check from Ifriends today, yes, TODAY with no fuckin' problems at all. If you look closely at the acc #'s on the two canceled checks, you'll see that they are the same ("0055316762"), and they both lead to an empty ass account. However, the number acc # on my check is different. The number is "0055316770". Maybe that has something to do with it, who knows. I am just glad my damn money cleared. So to anyone who has not yet cashed a ClickCash checks, be very of cautious especially if the acct. # is "0055316762".

Anybody who has ever used ClickCash/iFriends knows without a shadow of a doubt that they fuck up, and they fuck up very often. I am by no means defending such irresponsibility on their behalf, but perhaps, this is just yet another ClickCash fuck up on a much larger scale.

Hey man the difference in the check account number is because one account is for clickcash webmasters and one is for the ifriends hosts, 2 different accounts.

http://www.ambrizhot2.com/msf.jpg 1600$
http://www.angelfire.com/blues/badchecks/index.html 900$

my webmaster account cleared, but my girlfriend and I also get paid for ifriend chathost, those are NSF

I don't think there's any question now that this is a wide-spread problem. I feared as much.

Is there anyone here in collections?

well fletch when i posted what i did, it had appeared to be a mistake on the banks part. after taking a nap and reading again and calling bank atlantic, i see otherwise.

ifriends had made a statment that they were tking care of things and many people were told to contact louann. since the people on this board are cc webmasters, i thought maybe i'd try to help because 1. i WANTED to believe ifriends when they said it was a mistake and 2. i wanted to help provide any info i could to y'all from what we read on the if boards.

yeah i'm fucking pissed too and no i don't work for either place other than cc and at one time i was a chathost.
