How the hell does everyone know so much about what its like to be in a veggie state?

Let's use a different example, to agree with KRL's point.

If any of you have tried shrooms (aka 'magic mushrooms'), you may or may not have enjoyed the experience. For me, I loved it.

I feel, as it's a natural poison, that all i does is simply remove some of the inhibitions or blocks your mind has been trained to place on itself after all these years of 'evolution'. I think that, if people say you only use maybe 8-10% of your brain, taking such poison perhaps adds a few more % to that. It opens your mind up, closer ot its natural state

Now, let's say that someone becomes a vegetable from abusing such a drug. You cannot say they are suffering. They are just on another train of thought then you are. In their minds, they might be enjoying extreme pleasure. Unless you experience something for yourself, you will not know for sure. Especially when, as KRL says, the statements and observatios are coming from one who also has never experienced it.

While on the subject, do you guys feel that such natural mind dehibitors like shrooms can grant telepathic abilities? I know I've been in situations with friends, where in a closed setting, we can all udnerstand each other perfectly and comment on the same things at the same time, while people around us think we are speaking simply gibberish. What would you say about that ?

Her EEG is flatlined...no significant brain activity (which makes sense because she does not have a brain cortex...but spinal fluid in place of the cortex)...which would mean no dreams.

There is not a written statement but there are three witnesses...other than her husband...that testified in court that she had stated that she would not want to live as a vegetable.

well of course there isn't any written statements man... but there are many times my girlfriend who i've been with for 3 years has stated she would never want to be in that type of state - she doesn't go writing it down though, lol. and this is something that probably only I have heard her say, because it's not something that obviously comes up all the time. it came up a couple times during movies we were watching together with someone hospitalized in that state.

besides, the authorities have NO PLACE in investigating whether or not he is lying. like i said 100 times before, she married him which means she trusts him, since this is a case involving HER life, you look to the person SHE TRUSTS. it isn't our place to determine whether or not he is lying.

What i feel is inhumane is letting her die of thirst and starvation. That to me just seems wrong. I understand it is done that way because of our laws regarding euthanization, however i feel their has got to be a better way to do it.
Atleast with something like carbon dioxide inhilation the person drifts off to sleep and peacefully into death. That to me seems a hellova lot more humane than having her stave and thirst (even worse, while the media films the whole event).

Let this be a harsh reminder that everyone should have a living will. God forbid something this trajic happen to any of us, but if it were.. don't leave the guess work up to your family and loved ones.

I understand the feeling but it just isn't true.

Go and visit a hospice some time and you will see that people dying this way is very natural and is not painful like you imagine. Both of my grandmothers died like that. They stop eating and a couple of days later they stop drinking and then they go to sleep and a few days later they don't wake up.

I'm not saying that it is the most prefered way to die but just that it is very common and not inhumane like you might think.

That to me just seems wrong. I understand it is done that way because of our laws regarding euthanization, however i feel their has got to be a better way to do it. Atleast with something like carbon dioxide inhilation the person drifts off to sleep and peacefully into death. That to me seems a hellova lot more humane than having her stave and thirst (even worse, while the media films the whole event). Let this be a harsh reminder that everyone should have a living will. God forbid something this trajic happen to any of us, but if it were.. don't leave the guess work up to your family and loved ones. I have one, as i would never want my family under this duress.
