D&D Players

My geekass found a great mapping program. I just made a little test map of a grove for a Ranger character. The software is at:
http://www.dundjinni.com/

It's the best mapping software I've ever seen.

No doubt about it. So everybody SIGN UP HERE and start sending the traffic whatever way you can and it will convert. Maybe i'll use the mapping for the background of the BrazilianBitches gallery I am making it could be an interesting experiment.

No it works. I've been making some maps with it for a week now. It's a serious system hog though. I'm running a dual 3.4 with 2 gigs ram and it still moves slow. The code needs to be cleaned up a bunch.

hrmph, what do i do to start? i cant get one thing workable, and as soon as I make a selection on the toolbar like view a trophy, all icons go disabled!

I remmeber when Dark Basic went bankrupt, they added some spyware to it when you downloaded the demo, hehe that why I am paranoid.

I rolled a 00 on my 2d10 and criticled the shit outta the kobold.

you can see the resuls of my fury at

http://www.cams.com

I had D&D basic in 1976 when it first came out.

http://www.lyberty.com/encyc/articles/d_and_d.html

hahah I remember all too well the day the first players handbook came out.

I had a magic user named zarkon and I fucked shit up !

I later went on to play fantasy hero a much better game in my opinon.
http://www.herogames.com/Products/FH.htm

but now I am lazy and I play online stuff from time to time. But I attribute much of my online sucess to the games and imagination building done in those early years !

Thanks Mark for the great flashback

Mekton
1st ed by Mike Pondsmith (1985) R Talsorian
Mekton II ed (1987)
Mekton Zeta ed by Mike Pondsmith, Mike MacDonald, Benjamin Wright (1995)
A far future sci-fi RPG, in the Japanese anime giant mecha genre. It includes a brief mecha-genre far-future setting (Algol) and GM notes on running anime adventures, but the dominant part is treatment of the mechs themselves. The first edition was predated by a earlier Mekton game in 1984 which was not really role-playing. Editions "II" and "Zeta" use a variant of the "Interlock" system, which is skill based with actions resolved by attribute+skill+d10 vs difficulty. Character creation is limited point-based, with a random number of points (distribute 10d10 points to attributes, skill points determined by your "Education" attribute). Various random-roll "life path" tables add background color to the character.

I also beta tested this game, and now doign some search I have just found some old friends.. wooohooo

Good times, Lars! Sometimes nothing relieved stress like an RPG bashfest! I love the escapism of playing a perdonality though. The old time links are great, thanks for sharing. I started with that goofy violet boxed set with the orange dice that you couldnt read the numbers and the edges wore off in like a week.

ok I may get pocket protecters thrown at me but I never saw the fun in playing this. I used to bust mark about it all the time when he was with me. What happened to going out with the boys and getting laid?
Pls do not send the lesser scribes to beat me up

Going out with the boys and getting laid and playing an RPG are not at all mutually exclusive (although mentioned you RPG while attempting to get laid will cause exclusion).

It's one of those things man... some people just like to get lost in a good story and some don't.

well I was in like 5th grade so getting laid was a bit further off Hahhahah

later on in life when I had dropped out of high school to become a full time pot head, we created what we called Circus D&D Basically you get really fucking baked, and then you play D&D but the dungeon master makes all the rules and dice are not used guess a number between 1 and 100 the closer to teh number you pick the greater your suceess.. thats the only rule so its like choose your own adventure on 2 grams of opianted hash... That was 20 years ago though LOL now I dont play D&D and I dont burn.. havent in over 18 years..

D&D was nerdy but it was a great time and it taught me a lot of skills I use today in running my company

I role play being boss all the time
hahahahahahaha

Mentioning that you RPG doesn't ALWAYS cause exclusion. Some girls (like me) actually like that quality in a man.

My phone number is 201-44....

LOL! Well god bless ya!

And as to Lar's comment on role playing being boos. That is some funny shit! 5 experience points to you!

The real world thing I did walk away from D&D with was the ability to creativly problem solve, which is essentially what the entire game is about. That's a huge skill in any business operations level. The vocab from the game wasn't too bad either. Too bad it didn't help my spelling at all...

Used to be really into it. I have the original World of Greyhawk map, and tons of issues of Dragon magazine. Grenadier figurines and all that jazz.
Hell, I have 3 ring binders full of maps and notes and all kinds of things like that. Pretty amazing how wrapped up in something one can get.
When I got out of it is when I got into computers and programming, so of course I worked on programming D&D style games and things.
I think I have curse of the azure bonds on 5.25 inch floppies still.. friggin insane! lol

Nice mapping software.

I still play. In fact, my group destroyed the The Lost Shrine of Bundashatur last night.

D&D rocks as does GURPs, Star Frontiers, Top Secret, Twilight 2000, Hern, Villains & Vigilantes and so many others. I even greated my own roleplaying game so many years ago.

I haven't had a chance to play GURPs, yet, but my husband has a ton of the books. We just don't have time to get people together to play these days.

I used to like Shadowrun in addition to AD&D. My ex (not ex at the time, though) and my dad and I used to play AD&D. I didn't get to play Shadowrun alot, though, because my ex used to play with a friend of his and his friend kind of had a thing for me and my ex was rather jealous.
