HELL YEH!

guns are earth friendly

I'm down with making those bumperstickers and selling them up in Berkley

has anyone brought population control into this argument, and murder/killing in general?

does it REALLY matter how we kill eachother? what if a new trend of killing people with pencil's in the ears started happening, would start demonizing those old #2 pencils and ban the assuault mechanical pencil, which has NO KNOWN sporting purpose

PS: 50 gun-lovers

And when this sick sad world eventually makes me go postal, I promise I won't blame society or the gun on the murders.

Just kidding. Well at least on the postal part.... hopefully.

Wrong, the gun killed the kid. Nothing and nobody else. No gun, no dead kid. Take your head out of your ass.

If it was a knife, a hammer, a pencil that was the implement used -- should those be banned as well?

Knives, hammers and pencils are everyday life USABLE objects which have been invented for that use.

Guns were invented with the SOLE purpose of KILLING somebody. There is NO OTHER use....

Exactly. No gun, no dead girl.

And even if the other opinion is true: It's the person, not the gun. Then even more of a reason for gun control because it's painfully (literally, painfully) obvious that there are far, far too many people with guns who shouldn't been allowed to have them.

I don't need a gun, but if I want to have one, I can. It is my right as an American citizen. Simply put, fuck you if you don't like it. Stay home.

Guns have more purposes than just to hurt other people, they are also used for hunting, and sport, as well as personal protection.

I don't know why you have a lower rate . . . maybe because there are less of you? and those of you that are there live so far apart from each other?

Maybe it is because you are so drunk you could not hit the broad side of a barn.

I totally agree. However, I'm just saying that the gun, bullet, bomb, split atom isn't what causes death in the sense that it's a person who uses such a device to cause death. Without the person, the object would just remain harmless. Without the object the person would still be able to kill.

And the Michael Moore brainwashed Canadians will always attribute our love for guns and bloodshed to the NRA.

If guns are not allowed and you want to make a quick buck by robbing the local liquor store, you'll be less tempted to do so when it's hard to get a suitable weapon for it. Oppertunity in this case, is the dangerous factor.

a gun cannot kill anyone on its own. it is an inanimate object. that is like saying a club killed someone, can't happen unless it is very heavy and some irresponsible person left it laying precariously where it could fall onto someone's head

So...saying guns are not a good thing makes me a tree hugger?

Wow...then people who really love nature must be straight on terrorists...let's track them down and bring them to prison!

I support people's right to own a gun.

But I think people should be required to pass a test showing they know how to safely and properly operate and store a gun.

Useless, shit will keep happening. Everybody calls himself a responsible gun owner. Just like everybody thinks he smarter than the person sitting next to him.

Guns will cause accidents, no matter where, when or with whom.

That picture is the perfect example.

Unbefuckinglievable he even dares posting that in this thread. He just proves me right and all the pro people wrong.

There you have a responsible gun owner people. Take a good look and think about it for a minute or 2.

Think about the 1000's of other people who use guns for photos, to play with, to show to other people. 1000's of responsible gun owners.

It's always interesting that you have to live in a country where both Joe Public doesn't own a gun and 99.9% of criminals don't either to appreciate how truly scary, dangerous and uneeded they are. Arguing with those that live with them is pointless as for some reason logic and common sense mean nothing to those supporting them.

But...IMHO it's far too late for the US to just 'ban guns'. The huge availability really does mean the crims will still have them and the public not which makes it a tad one sided. Of course that's not a problem in countries where the crims so rarely have them in the first place

You've dug your hole....

You are totally right. Thats why i said guns are a fundamental problem in the US. Banning them now is quite useless. They never shouldve been allowed in the first place.

I agree that guns will continue to cause accidents, and that sucks, but that is life.

As long as guns exist, there will continue to be accidents. It's unrealistic to think guns will cease to exist, so the only thing we can do is attempt to limit the number of accidents that will happen.

they were 'allowed in the first place' cuz that's how we 'got this place'

a group of terrorists with guns, fighting off a civilized european country, then turning around and killing those pesky local inJUNS to keep this free country free from those scalpin, jerky eating, feather wearing, casino loving barbarians

I don't give a fuck where you live or how high / low the ratio of gun-toting people to those without guns is;

People are the problem.

People who are born into pathetic families that shouldn't be having children in the first place because they don't have the mental, moral, and emotional capacity to raise a child; that's the problem. People living in such over-populated areas where their only "seemingly" viable option for survival is to kill their neighbor; that's the problem. Ton's of other examples of either nurturing or the environment or both that create bad people are too many to list, but that's the problem.

Violence will always be, and unfortunately, so will bad people.

Yeah, you really know your American history, don't you?

You would be speaking German now if we didn't like guns so much.

Well, cocaine has been proven to have harmful bodily effects. Guns on the other hand, don't. Comparing guns and drugs is like comparing windows to saran wrap.

Haha please niggah!
If there were no guns the German wouldn't be able to overtake us! I guess THAT didn't cross your mind right? Another example why guns are bad...

Second: your grandpa and/or your pa fought for our asses and I'm grateful for that. NOT you. So quite with "us" and "we"

I have proven that I live in a part of the world where I don't have to be scared and paranoid all day that some crackass junky is trying to put a bullet through my ass anywhere.

Guns are illegal over here and we are safe. Period

As pointed out before, people will get guns whether they are legal or illegal. Just because guns are illegal doesn't meam you aren't going to get shot.
