You can never know the circumstances that cause people to be where they are in life

Rollin Studios 09-08-2004 04:46 PM

Lets just make this simple,

money doesn't make you happy.

Everyone knows that.

I personally respect a working man no matter the job.

GatorB 09-08-2004 04:51 PM

The idiot that started this thread should think about how HIS life would be if there WASN'T a sales person to help him buy a LCD TV or work at McDonalds or work at the convience store where he gets his gas. Is some farmer that barely get by that grows the fucking food you put in your ungreatful face a loser too? You want to see a loser, look in the mirror.

Some people come from different backgrounds from you. For some people, a job at sears making 35k a year might be a dream come true. Not everyone has lofty aspirations - and whereas you, and myself obviously wouldn't be happy in such a job - plenty of people are perfect contect and happy with said jobs.

And as has been mentioned before, not everyone can be millionares - we need people in jobs like this - so just be happy you are where you are, and don't spend so much time worrying about other people or you will never be happy yourself!

I didn't really read thru 5 pages of this....just skimmed. A lot of you said really good things.....I agree with you that people have different backgrounds. It's hard for some people to go to college. Not everyone has a rich background, not everyone has the financial support that a lot of people have.

We might not want a retail job but their is NOTHING wrong with this man making an honest living!

Would you rather him be on welfare, or selling drugs? The guy has an honest job, we can't judge a 40 year old b/c he has been 10 years in the same job. Maybe he likes it, maybe that's what his dream was.

I personally see nothing wrong with people trying to do the right thing and making their own living.

At least the guy has a job.

There are many GFY guys who don't make a penny.

Never criticise anyone without knowing all the facts of thier life first and even then,DON'T CRITICISE!

Do you want to be 65 years old and selling TV's? I didn't think so..

Yes, of course we need people selling LCD tv's to 'me', and they should be the kids who are just graduating high school, looking for ways to fund their college educations -- not a 50 year old man who has to take a load of shit from his 25-year old manager because he was late to work today.

"Get an education, get a good job, get a life worth living!"

Our motto in life should be this one!:thumbsup

do you think the salesman that you encountered had perhaps fallen on hard times and therefore was where he is?

Screaming 09-09-2004 11:40 AM

dont bash the people that do that maybe they like it but better yet every has a place in life and with out the workers where would we get all of our stuff, someone has to build and someone has to sell it

That a pretty sad, jaded outlook on things. What if hes happy? Makes enough to live the way he likes? What if he dose it to put his sorry ass ungratefull kids through school and think to themselves "Man i dont want to end up like dad"?

Maby you shouldent think that way and rather praise him for having the moral and personal fortatude to work in a place he may like or dislike.

Ive seen so many people get up everyday go into a job they hate because they have people who depend on them.

I know others who have there 35-40k a year job love it and have no real asperations to go any further but are very happy with there life.

And dont think for one second there isent a shitload of people out there who think you should put a bullet in your head for working in the adult indutry rather then have a "respectable job"

I think you should worrie about being happy in your own life and stop judgeing other... Just my :2 cents: :2 cents:

Rhino22 09-09-2004 03:54 PM

I don't think he is happy working at Sears...he didn't have a giant smile on his face, and he didn't enjoy answering my questions.

He would be better off being a mail man.:2 cents:

sickkittens 09-09-2004 04:03 PM

Rhino, what do all of your relatives do for a living? (Those 40+)

Just curious.

I don't see too many happy mailmen. :1orglaugh

And we all know what happens to disgruntled mailmen.

I think he should have a bullet put into his head. Not because he works in porn. Because he's just and asshole.
