Maybe he lost his his life savings in an investment. Maybe he tried his own company and it failed. Even the smart, most intelligent lose everything in investments sometimes...or fail in starting a company. Happens every day. So you have no place to talk. Word of advice. Just stop while you are behind. |

People lose everything sometimes. But they still have a family to support. When I was growing up my oldest brothers friend had an uncle who worked 3 full-time jobs to support his family. They still lived in Mexico and he sent almost all the money back to them. He slept maybe 3 hours a day, on a good day. At that point, I respect that man more than anyone else I had ever met in my life. |

And just because the Sears guy is trying to sell you a TV does not mean that he makes less than you. Go to bed, kid. |

But if he started that job with the mindset of NEVER climbing the ladder at Sears, then I don't see what the point of it was. He can make money at any job, but if he is oging to dedicate ten years of his life and know everything to know about what he does, then he should at least try for a promotion and make a few extra bucks. :2 cents: |

Why do you think this guy just gave up and chose a meaningless life? Holy fuck you are a complete idiot. Typical of your demographic though. Ever thought that maybe he is using this job to fund a comeback? Even thought he got laid off from a big corporation that he worked at for 25 years and now nobody will hire him or take him seriously because of his age except for Sears? Not everyone with "lesser" lives than yours chose the path they took. A lot of the times one's experiences just lead up to where they are. I was a fucking janitor for almost 4 years. Are you going to say that I just gave up and quit and chose a lesser life? If so, I got fucking news for you asshole I had huge anxiety issues and could not deal with the public due to a pretty bad stuttering problem. I was not be able to go into classrooms without anxiety attacks and social phobia due to the fear of having to communicate and be ridiculed at one point. I left school as an outcast due to my anxiety and was jobless for a few years. Now that I am over that shit and found ways to deal with it I had to start from rock bottom cleaning and earning a living to work my way up the financial ladder and gain experience working. I then got into adult and am loving it. I have set goals, ideas and a long term plan to make myself independent financially. Right now I am working for someone else doing mostly grunt work that most of you would have no idea how to do and are too damn lazy to do. I don't think that I "gave up" or have a "lesser life" for doing so. Ever thought that maybe this Sears salesman has had similar experiences to this? maybe he fell off a ladder and is working his way back up. You are an absolute ignorant prick. People like you are the reason people need thick skin and the reason people working in "lesser" jobs are grumpy and down on themselves. |
he could be using that job to push drugs just like one of my friends who works as a pizza delivery driver.

Back when I was in my late teens, my dad's union went on strike. He worked a highly technical job at the CBC both in master control and out on a mobile camera crew. They were out on strike for 5 months back then...... I don't know too many people even here that could go 5 months will almost no income. The man sucked it up though and went out and got himself a job as a courier. Not a prestigious career by any stretch, but an honest one, and for five months he drove a little Datsun car all over the city and was damned good at it, and he supported his family like a fucking man. I never forgot examples like that in my life, for it is those examples that have helped instill in me the notion that where there is a will there is a way, and also that real men do what it takes to keep going. I no longer have to worry about pumping gas or flipping burgers, but if the interweb ever collapses and it comes to that, I would again do what it takes. |

Go fuck yourself moron. And the same goes for the rest of you. After working at Sears for ten years in the same sales positoin, why doesn't he try for a managment positon? Is it because he isn't qualified? Hah! :1orglaugh |

it's also possible this guy cannot afford an education. Not everyone can get student loans and not everyone is in a position where they can work and go to school at same some. An older friend of mine who is in his 50's took a computer course when he was 45 after being laid off from his old job and he's selling books at chapters now. It just did him no good, his age was a barrier and nobody gave him a chance when he applied for and pursued more "meaningful" jobs during 10 years of job hunting.
Maybe this sears guy has the same problem. You never know. Now with a heart attack under his belt a stressful more "meaningful" job might be too much for him. Maybe this sears guy had a heart attack 10 years ago and sales is about all his health can handle, |

You are absolutely naive and ignorant. Let me teach you something about working, ok? A lot of the times if you take a management position you end up sacrificing the shifts you can handle. Also, a hike in pay can throw you into a different tax bracket that ends up earning you LESS. Also, not everyone wants the stresses of a managerial position. Go work in the real world for a few years doing hard work, sales and stressful positions on both sides of the wall, grunt, and managerial then come back and tell me the guy is a loser for not being manager. Man, some people around here are just fucking ignorant. you being one of them. |
Also, Rhino can't be doing that well for himself either. In all this fuss of lamenting about someone else's life, he failed to realize that his domain has expired. Who's the man dog now bitch?

This dude is so going to end up working at 7-11

Btw, something to take into consideration:
Some people come from different backgrounds from you. For some people, a job at sears making 35k a year might be a dream come true. Not everyone has lofty aspirations - and whereas you, and myself obviously wouldn't be happy in such a job - plenty of people are perfect contect and happy with said jobs. And as has been mentioned before, not everyone can be millionares - we need people in jobs like this - so just be happy you are where you are, and don't spend so much time worrying about other people or you will never be happy yourself! |
If Rhino is doing so good, what the fuck is he doing shopping at Sears?
|
Being a sales rep in the TV department at Sears sounds a helluva lot better than wandering up and down back lanes at night busting people's car windows to steal the spare change off their consoles, like the fucktard who did that to me this past Friday night. Fucker busts a $400 side window just to get at about $2.47 in change.
Anyone want to keep dissing the TV guy? :321GFY |
