On some country's money you can toutch and see a difference between each bill

Not sure about the rest of the world, but in AU each note is a slightly different length. There are devices they can use to measure them and find the value.

Sorry to vear the topic, but I've always scratched my head about this one...

How are people, that have been deaf their entire life, comprehend words? Since they have never heard a sound in their life how do the letters make any sense? Maybe they can pick everything up easily through pictures with the words describing them, but it still seems like it would be a tough concept for them to grasp.

Also, in their minds what noises are there? I know I "think in English", but since they've never been able to hear a language, what goes on up there?

I'm dumbfounded.

I have a blind uncle.

He gets his money from the bank and they give it to him in sets by order of dollar value

He then (while still at the bank) folds each bill a certain way. He can tell the size of each bill by how he folded it at the bank.

If You meen US bills, there is a roman number on the bills that are rissen a bit: $100 = C / $10 = X / $5 = V, and so on.
On Danish bills there are symbols: Squares,triacles and so on + roman numbers!

In countries where there is no differentiation, some people who are blind, visually impaired or deafblind use a billfold that has sections for different bills and a special purse with separate slots for coins. Others fold bills in different ways depending on their value, and identify coins by feeling the edges and memorizing the sizes. Most people use one method only.

On Canadian money, you can feel the different denominations. The bill isn't perfectly flat; you can feel the five and the zero on a $50.

Most of them fold them in specific ways when they put them in their wallet. They do need someone honest to tell em whats what in the first place though.

I hve a blind cousin ...She has live in help that puts money in little booklets... Each diffrent bill size has a booklet ... If she needs to go out by her self or whats to do it her self she knows witch one to take and she only takes what is needed .. Normaly only 1 bill. But more often than not .. when she gets change ... she gets ripped off ... sad.

This is how it's done in most modern countries. Only in the US are all the notes the same size and colour.

Must be like that to help the forgers.

Why not use her ATM card? Does her area have EFTPOS?

That way there's no change issue, she could still be overcharged but that won't put money directly in the cashier's pocket.
