Sorry to vear the topic, but I've always scratched my head about this one...
How are people, that have been deaf their entire life, comprehend words? Since they have never heard a sound in their life how do the letters make any sense? Maybe they can pick everything up easily through pictures with the words describing them, but it still seems like it would be a tough concept for them to grasp.
Also, in their minds what noises are there? I know I "think in English", but since they've never been able to hear a language, what goes on up there?

I have a blind uncle.
He gets his money from the bank and they give it to him in sets by order of dollar value

If You meen US bills, there is a roman number on the bills that are rissen a bit: $100 = C / $10 = X / $5 = V, and so on.
On Danish bills there are symbols: Squares,triacles and so on + roman numbers!

I hve a blind cousin ...She has live in help that puts money in little booklets... Each diffrent bill size has a booklet ... If she needs to go out by her self or whats to do it her self she knows witch one to take and she only takes what is needed .. Normaly only 1 bill. But more often than not .. when she gets change ... she gets ripped off ... sad.Comment
