I use ibill on most of my websites have been with them since they first started accepting credit cards. absolutely no complaints besides customer support on the phone.. other than that they kick all types of ass.. excelent conversions and I am always paid on time.

They have been reliable in the past, and there's been no indication one way or the other whether they'll be around, I suspect so though. I personally hate them because of their attitude, and wish we had used someone else, not ccbill either.

I have used iBill since the beginning. The customer service isn't all that great, but haven't had any other problems with them since 96. You'll find that iBill, CCBill and Epoch will be the last 3 standing, cause they follow the Visa/MC rules, unlike the others.

we're considering adding Verotel, which as I understand it doesn't have to worry about the Visa / MC rules because they're in Europe

We started using Ibill in the fall of 1997, and had mostly good experiences with them for the first few years. Then came the complete lack of development and progress on their part, terrible customer service both for us and our users, and several accounting mistakes.

At this point, we're mostly transitioned off of ibill (no new signups, just letting rebills trend downwards). We've gone to a mix of Netbilling (our own merchant account) and CCBill.

I don't have any opinion about Ibill's long term viability other than saying that I can't imagine any of their bigger customers staying with them for any length of time; read into that what you will.

On the whole, I would highly recommend Netbilling and/or CCBill -- the difference in working with them as opposed to Ibill has been huge. Stuff that Ibill *promised* they would do "next quarter" for a couple of years straight was easy to get done with CCBill and Netbilling in a matter of days.

Cheers

Been using them for about 6 years now. Tried others, but always returned to Ibill. Signups and rebills especially are much better with Ibill than with the others we tried. The $bottom-line$ is what's most important to me.

We've never had any problems getting our money. Their tech support used to suck big time, but has gotten somewhat better within this past year.

To summarize, they can be a royal pain in the ass sometimes, but the $$$ makes it worth it, to me.

I still use them as a 3rd option, very little money from them, they just scrub too hard, their customer service is practically equal to zero and I had some issues with payments and delays on payments, which to be fair were resolved, but they never should happen in the first place. If you ask my opinion, I wouldn't use them as my only option. Try Paycom, CCBill or Verotel instead

Hi guys,

Thanks for the great replies. I see there are mixed fellings(as with any product). I also see that CS has sucked for most of you. It also seems they are pretty stable, and these days that counts for alot.

Your replies will greatly influence my decision. Once again, thanks alot for your honest replies.

They say a picture is worth 1000 words so let this be my 1000 words.....

This is the IBill booth at this years show. Notice the CCBill booth in the background.

If that's not enough then I agree with "aiken"s comments from above

They pay on time and cc processing is alright I think.

BUT, their customer support is sucking ass
and I'm already waiting for more than a year to get 1 check per 2 weeks in my post box instead of 30 small ones!!!

I?ve been with Ibill since ?96. I started with their merchant account then started using our own merchant account in ?99. It?s a different company today. You no longer can speak to anyone in authority or with expertise, only to a clerk that doesn?t understand the business and their supervisor. Their customer service is absolutely horrible and I?ve lost money because of them.

In September ?03 we moved all new signups from Ibill. I was recently talking to the bank that issued one of our merchant accounts and they told us not to use Ibill. Enough said.

You always quote "Visa Rules" as an international law.
Why?
There is more in the world the world than USA.
If we make something up in Spain, as an example, do you close US business if someone there do not follow Spanish rules?

EU banks make EU Visa rules!

I don't quote Visa rules as a international law But when they are asking about a 3rd party biller in the US, I talk about the Visa rules in the US. If they ask about a EU 3rd party biller, but the company is doing business with them from the US, the US company is still under the Visa rules in the US, even though they are using a 3rd party biller from the EU (or else were).

If somebody has a company form the EU (or anywhere else), I usually don't comment, cause I don't know what I'm talking about when it concerns a company from some other country besides the US.

Why did you assume I was appling the US visa rules to the world? When a US company is doing business with a EU 3rd party biller. That EU 3rd party biller is breaking Visa rules (applied world wide) if they don't apply the US Visa rules to the US company.

Aiken,

Thanks for the kind words about us. The Netbilling/CCbill combo has been getting pretty popular lately.

Thanks again.
