But I fear that we can only wait and see how things develop.

Whenever I have a question I go and talk to their live chat inside the Admin Section. They always took care of me there. Have you tried that yet?

"me too" on the response times of Verotel (if they even respond at all). I emailed [email protected] regarding a customer that was double billed and was not refunded properly, even after someone in live help said it would be fixed up. The email was sent 21 days ago and there has been no reply yet. To be fair, there have been holidays to hold things up, but this sort of delay or complete lack of response is unfortunately typical.

The only reason I even tried email was because live help was on holidays. I don't think I'll bother again.

Here's an update: Your comments regarding conversion rates, slow server for order pages, etc. have been escalated to upper management and the technical team. We hope that there is something that we can do to rectify this situation.

Live Help should NEVER be on holidays...if this ever happens again, you have my e-mail address...let me know. TIA.

Thanks Darryl, it has certainly made a difference with my site. My sales are back to normal, so thanks again for getting the techies to look into it..

I actually do quite well with Verotel (better than I did with other processors. And while I'll give you that answering emails isn't something they seem to do; they always handle the important stuff for me right away (Installs, script repars, etc.)

The only strange thing I've noticed with Verotel is I seem to get sign-ups in blocks. Not sure if they are processing them all at once, or if the payment gateway is sometimes down. The page loads slow, but for me - they convert well for me.

I see this as well. Slow sales again right now, but it had picked up after this thread yesterday evening.

My sales are up for January, but I attribute that to my guilting of my membership on the free side of my site (Start the New Year off right, support this site!)

Traditionally, January is a slow sales month for all forms of business. Why should porn be any different? Heck, how many men are still pretending they gave up porn and masturbation as a new years resolution?

Wait a month. Let them by alone on Valentine's day and they'll come back to their real love... porn.

I see this also, no sales for ages then bang a heap at once. After this thread yesterday I had as many sales in 8 hours as I did in the previous 96 hours.. and now back to no sales for many hours..

I could understand if my surfers got to the Verotel join page in bursts but that does not happen, the surfers are quite consistant in working their way through the tour. So I can't understand such extreme variations in signups..

Im noticing the same thing as well. No sales for 12 hours then half a dozen or so. Seems all over the place. Previous biller I was doing probably double the sales and they would consistently come in every hour. Not sure what is going on.

I have the same with rebills... they come in bunches, like someone is turning on/off the Verotel's CC gateway in random sequence.

You guys crack me up.
You obviously have no idea WTF you are doing, click/buy ratios of 1:15, 1: 40 ?. You are kidding, right ?

All my sites with Verotel over the last 12 months have click/buy ratio of 1:4.16, the best site is 1:3.31 for 12 months.

Instead of passing the blame to Verotel for your incompetance, stop posting crap here and spend the time learning to filter traffic properly.
Throwing a bit of free porn up on a free host & posting to tgps unfortunately does not make you a 'webmaster'.

Try to rise above your delusions of adequacy !

Well i don't think so...
Don't you think that is so strange to have a period of 0 signups then you get 4 in a 2 hour period ,then 3...then 0 again for a day for example! Coicidence? well maybe, but as you can read here another webmasters are having the same problem!

So the question is not who's the best webmaster or who have the best click/buy ratio!

We just wan't to know if there's some problem with verotel or not!

I run Verotel sites with 1000's of members and see ratios of 1:13 or so.

This figure is not really relevant to anything actually.

Just like the others in this thread I want to understand why there are apparent (looking at averages) periodic dropouts in processing.

Things are just fine now, but I agree a couple of weeks ago sign-ups went down, way way down.. I thought I was the only one who noticed "patterns" with sign-ups.

Dear Webmasters,

I've been working with our technical dept. for the past couple of weeks to try and figure out what's going on. With the exception of a minor server resolving issue over a week ago which was corrected, everything looks fine from our side. As such, in order to track down where the problem lies we need your assistance. We would very much like to put this issue to rest and therefore I hope you are willing to cooperate with us on this.

If you could provide us with dates/times and traceroutes to the following servers when you have problems:

links.verotel.com
cancel.verotel.com
secure.verotel.com
www.verotel.com

After doing a traceroute could you click the links above and time how long it takes before each of the above pages come up via your browser (include date/time, how long it takes) and if you could also try it maybe 3 times in 5 minute intervals - don't forget to clear your cache otherwise you may get a false reading because the page is in your cache.

In the event you don't know how to do a traceroute, please see here: http://www.hostingmanual.net/troubles/traceroute.shtml

We appreciate your cooperation.

blah blah blah FUCK YOU

your stuff is probably latent because people don't like child pornography and are packeting your processing servers night and day.

Rebills are batched and are done all at once. Time is not logged with tthe initial transaction...
