Well have you taken a look at some of the paysites out there?

I join some sites before i promote them to see whats behind the scenes and if its even worthwhile (revshare sponsors that is)

Very few are evn worth the effort to get a true rebill ie: the surfer forgetting to cancel and being rebilled as comapred to surfer liking the updates and site and wanting to be rebilled

Yep its amazing how these big sponsors can even pay $35 per trial when their conversions from trial are so damn low, I would say 20-30% convert from trial wouldn't be far off for most major paysites. Kickass revshares do better as they have more targeted better members areas.

Recent stats that were shown on this board from a very well respected sponsor who uses CCBILL showed revenue from rebills at 38% of all revenue.

That sponsor does weekly updates on niche-fetish sites.

if somebody told you his gross revenues grew by 10% last year, would you think he had a good or a bad year? NO IDEA! Unless you know by what %age the overall market grew.

If 38% of that guys revenue is from rebills what does that tell us? Does he have One time non-recurring memberships? How old are their websites (3 months or 3 years with a big member base?) etc. etc. etc.

It gives ONE datapoint of what an OVERALL rebill rate could be from a quality sponsor that has been around for a long time who is using ccbill and who has a large and growing member base.

If you own a paysite and can only manage 43% rebills you should give up and turn it into an AVS or something.

Anyway there are far more important numbers: average cost of aquisition, yield per customer, expense per customer, etc.

= $30.00 flat rate

your site is at $1.00 trial 40.00 rebill

your at $41.00 flat rate

now figure your rebills against your trials and work it..
i make more with $14.95 trials then $2.95 trials..
