I think this topic could have been more general - your post, punkworld, applies to MOST of the websites on the internet regardless of content.

There are only a handful of sites out there that actually have a well thought out layout (GUI), content that is right for the specific site, and customer support to name a few necessary things that brick'n'mortar establishments absolutely need to survive. I'm not saying websites are mirrors in any way of a brick'n'mortor businesses but fuck man, have some common decency to propogate well thought out websites rather than crap.

SUBSTANCE SELLS!
100% agreed!

That's why we're using a psychology doctor for fetish and deviation research for our next sites. It sounds weird in this biz, but as far as we can target in a very specific way the audience, the niches and their needs and expectations as consumers, it's time and money well spent I mean (and that's what I understand from very accurate Punkworld's post) that there's no room for non professional approach or cookie cutting sites, spending a grand a month for special exclusive content is a must.

Why yes, mine does, thank you very much.

With hours of video, several hundred sets, and all content shot by me, my member satisfaction is very high.

Thanks for pointing that out!

The difference between general sites and paysites is - the name already says it - people pay for paysites. Find a bad site? Just don't visit it anymore. Not really a problem. However, if you have paid good money for something, you'll feel ripped off if it doesn't deliver.

Ofcourse, in order to make money with a non-paysite it also needs to be pretty good, but at least fuckups with that only hurt yourself. Bad paysites rip off customers, making them wary of other paysites and thereby damaging the entire industry.

an independent trust-certificate would bring some consumers back to paysites i think. someone mentioned that in another thread like this. a very good point in my opinion.

I agree pretty much wholeheartedly.. It's a pity, there are so many great paysites with potential, but they aren't taken the full gammut and it encourages chargebacks.

Pre checked cross sales, crappy content, cookie cutter look and ridiculous pricings (49.95$ for a month wtf?!) aggressive dialer redirects etc. do no good and I still wonder why there are still so many willing to sign up for paysites after such an experience.

Take care who you promote, Slickcash and others are bad for the biz.

It's been said a LOT of times in the past. The unique thing about this thread is that so far no idiot has come along saying something along the lines of 'I've been in the industry 10 years and I know it's bollox and good content makes no real difference'.

I suppose there's still time yet for one to come along but then I think it's also a sign of this industry very slowly maturing. People are starting to realise that to keep making the bling long term, you need to provide quality. It applies short term too these days with surfers continuing to become more savvy.

Unfortunately for too long an immature industry (ie online porn) has had a lot of immature people doing a lot of damage. As I say thankfully this is changing and those in this for the long haul are starting to finally see what's required to achieve that.

However, as Punkworld said in his original post there's still unfortunately a LOT of crap about. At least now though it's only 95% of sites that are crap rather than 99%
