The issue with Maxim's "criticism" is that it isn't really criticism. It's just bitching aimed at winding people up. I guess it worked.

haven't worked in the film biz for 16 years max... no interest.. I think Jay Allen shoots nice looking stuff, and the nubiles films looks good as well...

Imagine that the most famous painter in France was really crap.

And he had all the awards. And other crap painters said he was great.

Would the fact that the painting were crap be damaging to;

1) Art

2) Other painters

3) people who loved paintings

In fact all three.

This is the situation in the "porn" industry, because of its semi legal status, because of criminal sales practices, because of lack of artistic status. The victory of mountains of poor content over originality and creativity.

If you think I am wrong its easy to prove post a great Max Candy scene or examples of great erotic art being produced.

Maybe my criticism is not up to your standard, but I took the trouble to buy the film, watch under ideal conditions and show it and discuss it with a couple of mainstream film makers.
My motive may have been that I was fed up in reading about "Star Wars" being the best film ever and how Muslims will take over the world, and the latest 4 K camera will make better films.

People post when they see a point to be made. The fact that a $200,000 erotic movie is a train wreck and yet people thinks its great, seems to me a point worth making.

But thank you for your comment which at least breaks the 3 figure IQ barrier.

I too have a website and if you wanted you could view all the erotic videos I have made in the same way I have watched yours.

Accusing the person making the argument of being "old, bitter, sad " or "left handed mad and green" does not change the point. Is it true that your films are poorly made?

I do not bear any ill will to anybody on this board I know only a few of them, and when I have me them at adult does everyone is puppy like.

BUT the good news...You could make a really great movie with a little bit of preparation. I am mean a movie that would show in normal cinemas and festivals.

1) Get some help with a script writer (good films are made on paper)

2) Hire a professional Czech DOP trained and experienced

3) Use less models keep the story simple.

4) get a couple of great looking models that can act.

Take a look at the Terence Malick film "To the Wonder" it is a bit of a failure but there are some really interesting ideas there that can be adapted and learnt from. Check out Czech cinema of the sixties and any mainstream film with erotic content. Add your experience with hard sexual representation.

There are a easy ways to check this. Send your film to a film festival. Show your film to a professional film maker and ask them.

Do you really think I care if I have respect from people I don't know and I can see are clueless?

People have tried to say that I am not Cherry Chapman but really someone else who works in the mainstream film industry, qualified, award winning cinematographer, director, making film lights, TV programs etc. Nothing could be further from the truth. I am a sad old bitter illegal immigrant.
