I think he'd say if he'd done music videos, but, as I recall, he has said he assisted, which usually just means he might have carried heavy bags of lenses or placed sandbags or found out how the backup dancers take their coffee but not had any creative input.

Lenses also have an ability to resolve detail, in lines, if the lens can only resolve 1000 lines there is no point in having a system that can resolve 4000 (4k).

If the lens can't resolve it the sensor is wasting its time.

I almost (but not quite) feel sorry for you. You clearly have issues. I disproved your point in the very statement you quoted. You are woefully misinformed. 4k is not 4000 lines. Many consumer theaters have 4k projectors. Average consumer DSLRs shoot 16mp which is more than 4k. Kit lenses on these cheap cameras are a couple hundred bucks. 16mp images look better and are sharper than 8 MP images all things being equal. And THE 4K FOOTAGE I AM SHOOTING NOW looks way better than the 1080p stuff I shoot with the SAME LENSES.

There are so many other factors at play other than lens resolve that it boggles my mind anyone would make such foolish broad statements as you have. I am not going to further argue with you about it because you can go on Vimeo and watch countless experts talk about the new 4k cameras that they are shooting with adapters to their old 60s Nikon lenses just like I do.

How did I see "Inglorious Bitches" ? I went to a shop and bought a copy. It is an awarding winning movie. I wanted to see what the best the industry can produce, with a big budget etc.

How many of you fans of Max Candy have actually sat down and tried to watch the movie?

This as an industry has promoted quantity of quality for so long that it is no surprise how bad most of it is.

All I have done is point out with examples how, with a little bit of skill and planning, some really interesting erotic films could be made.

The reaction was to lie, insult, publish my name and just make shit up.

So the only technical / artistic threads are only ever what new bit of consumer shit to buy.

Not ideas about what is erotic, books about lighting film craft, or what would be a good story to combine with the erotic.

The idea of only allowing people with a certain qualification speak on a subject would shut this board down in a nanosecond. And there would be a few surprises on who.

The internet makes it difficult to work out who has a true understanding of any given subject, but when people just write people off they may be missing a chance to learn something that will say themselves a lot of money. Like those of us who were sceptical about 3D and understand the tech difficulties of 4k and 8K.

The first thing anyone learns in an art school or any creative endeavour is how to take criticism and receive it.

It is the most valuable resource.

I understand that you all swim in your little pond and pretend to be big fish but the product you produce is watched on the same TVs as well made programs and it does not make the grade.

Max Candy is no shrinking violet. He claims to be one of the best erotic film makers.

There were some really good erotic films made back in the day. They broke out of the ghetto to reach a wide audience. They were good films in their own right.

If you think that the films being made are the best that can be made, or even that they are exceptable you are the ones that show yourselves to know nothing.
