Let's see. WHP posts nonsense about shit that is of no consequence to anyone.

I posted a link about google stealing money from AdSense publishers, think people here probably would be or were using it to generate money.

Did Chris Butler hack your account, or are you just riding my dick because you are bored?

So the other part of the new policy change was to incorporate other Google services into assisting the
"quality control" program. What they came up with will anger many users when they find out. It
involved skewing data in Google Analytics. They decided it was a good idea to alter the statistical data
shown for websites. It first began with just altering data reports for Analytics account holders that also
had an AdSense account, but they ran into too many issues and decided it would be simpler just to skew
the report data across the board to remain consistent and implement features globally.
So what this means is that the statistical data for a website using Google Analytics is not even close to
being accurate. The numbers are incredibly deflated. The reasoning behind their decision is that if an
individual links their AdSense account and their Analytics account, the Analytics account can be used to
deflate the earnings automatically without any human intervention. They discovered that if an individual
had an AdSense account then they were also likely to use Google Analytics. So Google used it to their
advantage.

This led to many publishers to actively display ads, without earning any money at all (even to this day).
Even if their actual website traffic was high, and had high click-throughs the data would be automatically
skewed in favor of Google, and at a total loss of publishers. This successfully made it almost impossible
for anyone to earn amounts even remotely close what individuals with similar sites were earning prior
to 2012, and most definitely nowhere near pre-2009 earnings.
Other policy changes also included how to deal with appeals, which still to this day, the large majority
are completely ignored, and why you will rarely get an actual answer as to why your account was
banned and absolutely no way to resolve it.
So in addition to the accusations regarding terminating people for no reason right before they were due a payout they were also allegedly shaving/skimming.

Wow it almost seems like Google was learning from the adult industry as these tactics are common accusations in adult too.

You would think the traffic discrepancy would be easy to detect though by using server stats?

Shocker. Right.... we all knew this was happening. Fuck Google adsense. They banned my adsnse right before a payout. That's why I really want to plugrush to hurry up and finish up with traffic rush.

PlugRush is a great company.

Adsense is extremely strict. One mistake and you're out.

I hope someone really does start a class action lawsuit against Google and puts them down.

Adsense can suck my little pecker.. They banned me a few times in 2012 and I alway's managed to get my account back. But after the third time is said "fuck it" and found other mainstream advertising solutions that, in the end, paid better...

I now have 65 Euro in my Adsense account and they pay when it's 70 Euro. But they will never get another click from me.

Screw them.

If this is true (and that's a big IF) then this is good news for us.

Why is it good for us?

If it's ever proved to be true and if banned account-holders are able to successfully prove this was done to them, it opens Google up to further repercussions and investigations which in turn, set a precedent for the ability to pursue lost earnings and damages from/due to companies who "shave" or ban/close accounts with intentions of avoiding payouts.

However, I doubt any large-scale press will ever pursue this in fear of Google's lawyers slapping them, hard, or even better, de-indexing them and all associated entities from their search products.

You'd like to think that but Google are above the law now, they've spent a lot of money in Washington lobbying to further their interests

Exactly!

German Media Exec ?Afraid Of Google?

Quote:
Mathias Dopfner, chief executive of Axel Springer, Europe?s biggest newspaper publisher by circulation. In an open letter to Google published Wednesday in a German newspaper not published by Axel Springer, Dopfner also said: ?We are afraid of Google. I must say this so clearly and honestly since scarcely one of my colleagues dares to do this publicly. And as the biggest of the small fry, we must perhaps be the first to speak plainly in this debate.?

Dopfner?s letter was a response to a recent column (in the same newspaper, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung) by Google Chairman Eric Schmidt that warned against heavy-handed European regulations he said would hinder innovation. Schmidt mentioned the Silicon Valley company?s improved advertising relationship with Axel Springer. But Dopfner reportedly wrote that his company had no choice but to do business with Google because of its dominance in search.

The European Union has been looking into antitrust allegations against Google search for years, a tentative deal was reached earlier this year.

In his letter, the Axel Springer CEO also took aim at Facebook?s Mark Zuckerberg and Google?s Larry Page, blasting the two CEOs on their stances on privacy, and criticizing Google?s many projects. Of Page, he said: ?He dreams of a place with no privacy laws and without democratic accountability.?
This is what Google think about your privacy

Quote:
Privacy will become a quaint memory. ?If you have something that you don?t want anyone to know,? Schmidt famously said in 2009, ?maybe you shouldn?t be doing it [online] in the first place.? So Google elects itself supreme moral arbiter.
Honestly if that was a quote from the Stasi secret police would you be surprised?

It's funny in a way because posters on this forum bitch and cry about piracy and everything being given away for free but that's exactly what Google has done, they gave you free Search, free Video (YouTube), free Social Network (Google+), free email (Gmail), free OS (Android), free storage (Drive), the list goes on and on and all they ask for in return is EVERYTHING about you!

A complete digital version of yourself, any thought or opinion you've ever had in your life and it's owned by Google!

FREE is deep rooted into everyone's conscience, the problem is no one realises just exactly what they've given up. We haven't just given up our privacy, we're giving away the window to our souls.

Anyway what is my point? I'm not surprised that Google is abusing their position, my concern and everyone's concern should be about how they'll be abusing their power in the future when they build up ever more sophisticated digital avatars of their users.

They've already purchased the AI company DeepMind, they've got Google Glass rolling out and they're working with Quantum computers atm

We're headed towards a very dark place in the not too distant future, a future where the big corporations and government know more about you than you do

Who knew we'd wind up welcoming Big Brother with open arms? But that's pretty much what is happening with Google, and you're right, in 20 years the current tracking will look like child's play.

We never realise the significance of things at the time, remember the reality TV show Big Brother?

First episode in the UK July 14, 2000, first episode in the US July 5, 2000

Within 2 years of that shows launch 24/7 surveillance was firmly imprinted in our minds as being absolutely fine, I remember watching the whole first season thinking "this is pretty cool!"

I shudder to think where Google will be in 20 years time, even in 10 years time!

I used to joke with a friend that Google was Skynet, now I'm not so sure... They've been buying up a bunch of Robotic companies in the past year.

Industrial Perception, Redwood Robotics, Meka Robotics, Holomni, Bot & Dolly, Boston Dynamics to name a few that are under project Google X

It makes no sense at all - 100% fake...

Why would they can a 10K a month account even if it is the end of a pay period - Another few months and they would make way more from it.....

Prog owners - Would you can your best affiliates for a quick buck? - No, unless you were in desperate trouble - So why the hell would Google with unlimited cash flow?...

What a load of shit.....

I think you missed something, if this is all true, they are canning accounts of (adsense) that google is "supposed" to pay for having ads served on their sites. By canning such accounts, they never have to pay out, ever, and just keep all the profit to themselves from the (adwords) paying to have those ads up.

adwords and adsense are different account types.

In laymens terms,
AdWords is the "sponsor" needing exposure.
AdSense is the "affiliate" providing ad space on their sites and are the ones getting fucked.

I did get it - Think of it from a porn prog POV - You have an affiliate (AdSense) making 10k, you can the account just before cut off - You made about 10K - Nice - Then next month you make nothing from them and nothing every month after...

If you as the affiliate prog needed 10K to survive then OK - Its fucked up but you got the money you needed - With Google's cash flow it will never happen - Remember they are worth billions.....

Corporate greed ring a bell? For every account they can they must have a dozen lined up to replace... So they made the adsense money, the adwords money and they have new affiliates every minute... You're right Google just a bunch of straight up top notch citizens.

Lets see if it is true or not... News has been quiet on it so far. Either dismissing or shitting in pants.

We're headed towards a very dark place in the not too distant future, a future where the big corporations and government know more about you than you do
OBEY! - Quantum will be interesting.

If you as the affiliate prog needed 10K to survive then OK - Its fucked up but you got the money you needed - With Google's cash flow it will never happen - Remember they are worth billions.....
No, you're still not getting it.

The advertisers using adsense do NOT make google any sales in any shape or form that adult aff marketing does, they just serve the ads placed by adwords users. Google makes money off the adwords users paying for thsoe ads, not the other way around.

In adult sense you described, there's a sale taking place that the check-writers process and make a percentage/rate.

Each time that ad is served, google makes money from adwords and splits a share with the adsense user. sure, in the short/immediate run, it takes away a place to advertise thus cutting into the possible amount of views google can serve on that one site, but they have an influx of sites to serve them on and really, it turns out more profitable this way because they never have to share that money from adwords

If you cant get the simple concept of how this works (if true) then I am really wondering, what are you doing here if you don't know the difference... it's 1+1=2 not 1+1=3

I thought Googles business was putting ads on sites and selling them - If they terminate the publishers nobody makes money - Including Google - I still think it would be very short sighted of them...

Makes no sense at all... Google is working on 68% rev share. So on those 10k they would make 3.2k. In just 3 months they would make those 10k and in months to come they would earn extra cash: so in 12 months they would earn about 38k (in case affiliate earnings are about the same). Why would you dump someone for $10k when you could make $38k in a single year. I know some people that are affiliates for years! I doubt they are that stupid...

Think about what happened in adult over the last 15 years. It's the same thing. These businesses often put short term profits over long term profits and they don't care.

Another angle on this might be that they may have known their updates would hit smaller independent affiliates harder so they didn't care about severing any long term relationship. Think of how many of those same adsense affiliates were hit hard by Panda and Penguin. Many were put out of business even. It's no stretch or lie to say that since 2011 or so the updates have been mostly favoring brands. Google is almost open about it now.

'cos you make the full 10k, then the next month another full 10k, then another full 10k, and on and on x 100s of publishers per year. Add in all the smaller numbers to make another bunch of x 1000s a year. There is no shortage of publishers.

say they do that to 10 x 10k monthly publishers, that works out an extra 1.2m profit. Say there's more like 100 of those.. now that's 12m extra profit. Now do that with 1000 x 4k a month publishers, that's now 48m + 12m = 50m extra pure profit per year. Now think about how truly huge mainstream is...

Here's the last email I had got from AdSense few years ago about 10 days before I was to receive a first $2,500 check.

Hello,

Thank you for your response. We appreciate your providing us with more information about your account activity.

Please note that we have certain policies in place that we believe will help ensure the effectiveness of Google ads for our publishers as well as our advertisers. We have thoroughly re-reviewed your account data upon receipt of your response and have reconfirmed that invalid clicks were generated on the ads on your site. According to our policy on this matter, we have disabled your account in order to protect our advertisers.

We appreciate your understanding.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team
I really appreciated the "sincerely" at the end of their message....

Think about it, they tell you they recorded some invalid clicks. Even if it was true, then just remove the invalids ones, pay me for the rest and close my account if you think I'm causing this. But keeping all of my money since the beginning??? Something is wrong here. I do believe in this story....

I hate Google, they think the TOS are on top of laws.
