$1k is in some countries a high income. this does not comply to people from other countries.

anyway it looks for me you want some crap have done and there odesk & co will be your best bet... probably you want only load in the app a web view which is done in a handful minutes...

in case you seriously looking for a mobile application that does more then load a web view you will learn many things regarding development of native mobile applications

i do understand that , but what my point is, the 1k bucks wont get you that skill set, meaning anyone who knows Ios and android coding already making more than that and wont leave his current position for 1 month .
e.g. you can find php coder for 100 bucks but you cant find IBM as/400 developer for that price.

Well,i would go as i would turn that into paid vacation,so basically a combination of business and pleasure.

Yep that is correct,android coders cost much more and it is kind a funny how people dont understood that,i laughed hard when i saw ad where it was offered 10$ for android code,and it even demanded to pay in parts of 3$.

Well depend from where potential applicant it is,but again since he didn't mention will he pay salary taxes,it is illegal one way or another.
Also i must correct myself-even if i would be skilled in android,i would decline this as 1000$ is still too little for one month,that would be sufficient for two weeks only.Not to the mention how he didn't mention does he cover food/stay/whores cost.

Are you people fucking retarded? You can independently contract somebody for a JOB. Not hourly. Wherever that person lives it would be up to them to pay their own taxes and be honest to their own governmental laws.

Well yes it is possible that way,but if you run a company then you usual have other tasks which you need to do.no?Unless you doing nothing else beside freelancing.Also,in CZ that is against law,if you have only one client then it is considered as job with purpose of avoiding paying salary taxes.

No idea about laws in other countries, but I KNOW I can hire somebody that is independent of my company and infrastructure to come to my office and clean it. I can pay for their transportation, time and labor as long as they are getting a 1099 (here in the US) and are well aware that any and all funds that they receive is considered non-employment compensation and that they are responsible for their own liability for taxes.

They in turn can use that job opportunity to write off whatever that they deem is needed and legal. If they are a sole proprietorship or a corporation is completely on them.

Yes, 1 month in Holland, $700 for a small ass room + 2 months deposit that you might not get back, that's $2100 so far + food and since most coders are fat that's $600 at least, travel expenses say another $300, and so on and so forth.

Soo, $3000 bare minimum, you get paid $1000 and the whole trip costs you at least $2000. Not to mention that any Android coder can make $5000+ not leaving his room, so yeah, what a great offer

But the THING IS? Is that he made an offer. If somebody TAKES that offer it's on them entirely. If they're dumb? They're fucking dumb. Live with it. It might make you laugh, chuckle or shit your pants that somebody would dedicate their time and energy to a project that is low paying such as this.

At the same time? Maybe he found somebody located in downtown Amsterdam that can do this shit on the side and doesn't need to be moved, carted around or anything else.

I doubt I could find a good iOS developer here *ON THE SPOT* for less then $3000netto, so not including taxes or payroll costs which are another 50% of the salary here.
