No idea about laws in other countries, but I KNOW I can hire somebody that is independent of my company and infrastructure to come to my office and clean it. I can pay for their transportation, time and labor as long as they are getting a 1099 (here in the US) and are well aware that any and all funds that they receive is considered non-employment compensation and that they are responsible for their own liability for taxes.

They in turn can use that job opportunity to write off whatever that they deem is needed and legal. If they are a sole proprietorship or a corporation is completely on them.
