We need an independent adult industry organization that truly puts performers health and safety first. I honestly feel that the FSC has failed on that, especially with the influence operating PASS has upon their actions (you only need to look at how they handled Cameron and Rod differently to understand this).

Of course, when you have talent agencies reportedly serving as fronts for escort services, and lots of industry performers apparently actively participating in it, the conditions are not exactly good for the industry to finally get it's act together (there is no moratorium on pornstar escorting that I am aware of).

With porn "business as usual", under the current way things are being operated, it is not if, but rather when the next HIV+ case occurs, and the infection is spread, before the next, and the next, and the next moratorium are called.

And let's please not avoid the subject any longer, "business as usual" also means we keep admitting what is known as "crossover" talent (those who shoot straight and gay, with condoms and without, and maybe even escort on the side).

More likely we will continue to be an extremely divided industry. It's too bad that the public face of the industry is mostly represented by those that put profits before people.

Nonetheless, I want anyone reading this to know that there are many wonderful people in the adult industry, I love the work I am doing, and I will continue creating adult erotica (independently).

According to the FSC/PASS site, FSC is supposed to meet today about patient #3 exposure re-tests, and to decide what steps to take next, such as lifting or extending the production moratorium, which was announced as a result of HIV+ #3 (even though the FSC initially said HIV+ #3 never worked in the industry - kind of begs the question as to who is being re-tested if HIV+ #3 never worked with anyone after testing positive).

Meanwhile, Weinstein of the AHF claims to know of a 4th HIV+ case, which the FSC is denying. Perhaps he is waiting on the FSC to make their announcement first so he can spring a "gotcha" on them. Otherwise, he is lying about a rather serious matter.

One thing is known, Public Health officials have to be notified by the testing clinic within 7 days of any HIV+ results, so we'll find out soon enough who is telling the truth this time (although both the FSC/AHF are masters of double-talk spin control deception).

Um you're the one that is in every single thread arguing about it. It has been well established that the bigger haters are the biggest closet cases. Look at the Facts

All 3 performers who tested positive are friends that live in Phoenix.

The male performer, Rod Daily only worked on the gay side of the industry and used condoms in his scenes.

His girlfriend, Cameron Day the first female performer who tested positive came forward and all of her on-camera partners tested negative.

The second female performer, who refuses to come forward, on-screen partners have all been tested and all of them were negative.

It is very clear that these transmission occurred off camera and that if these people did not try and do porn scenes they probably would not know they have HIV.

No one in the adult industry industry got HIV on set; furthermore these 3 individuals with HIV now know they have it because of porn and will not spread it others.

Porn is not blame for what people do off camera and in this instance helped save lives.

Porn saves lives...have to add that to my pro-adult PR file.

Everyone is so quick to say that no infection occurred on set, when they have no proof I am aware of about where any of the HIV+ cases originated.

Furthermore, the adult industry did not prevent HIV+ from passing to the performers who worked with the HIV+ performers. If anything, the adult industry increased the exposure of a deadly virus to people by engaging in unsafe sex practices, and was lucky more than anything else that HIV was not spread further.

We should not be patting ourselves on the back or declaring that the industry is safe since ONLY three more performers (that we know of) contracted HIV this time around.

To be fair, that sounds like a blanket description that could apply to a lot of people in the biz. Many girls do drugs, escort unprotected, and LOVE fucking bi-sexual or "gay for pay" dudes. Uninhibited males are usually a huge turn on for many women, especially dysfunctional ones.
