believe me.... I got the ultimate respect for the wave... always have...
what happened was, I caught a ride, and out of nowhere, BOTH my calves locked into twisting fucking leg cramps that I thought were going to kill me just by themselves... but because of that, I only got half the ride and ended up floating there, clutching my fucking legs.... right in the fucking impact zone. then the next set came in and proceeded to fucking pummel me into hamburger without mercy. I couldn't swim, I couldn't get on the board, and I couldn't get out of it.... wave after wave just kept coming down on me. Legs still locked in complete agony. finally they came running down to drag me out of the fucking shit... couldn't walk... couldn't even stand up for like 20 minutes.... had to call it a day after that. My legs will be fucked for probly two days.

That sux bro - god damn muscle cramps!
I've waken up a few times in the middle of the night and stretched my legs and bam pure leg cramp - writhing on the floor in pain for like 10 mins... I remember playing tennis years ago with my shirt off acting all cool and shit to impress these chicks hangin out nearby and when I served the ball and streched up to reach it my calve got stuck and I was rolling on the court screaming like a biotch, then when I got up I had dirt and shit all stuck to my upper body cuz I was sweaty and had no shirt on - classic. I have never had dual calf cramps tho *ouch* I did however get dual quad cramps skiing down Mt. Tremblant for the first time tho.... legs were not ready for so much turning... maybe if there was an avalanche too at the same time it would have been the same as your experience. Rock on  Nothing a bottle of Cristal can't fix

Santa Cruz was on fire today we had a nice west swell and gethell st was rockin and the Lane was pretty good too but kinda mushy with so much west in it. Other sufers are the greatest danger in the water. But hey at least you will still be able to surf tomorrow |
