Ounique.com ? How hard can it be ? - GoFuckYourself.com

I ordered some content from Ounique.com last week and had to undergo a rigourous process of checking before they would approve me, which seemed a bit over the top but they said its to reduce fraud, fair enough. (I had prepaid my first order with Paypal).

Then I get an email telling me to log into their site and download my content, ok fine nothing unusual here. When I clicked to download what I had bought, their system told me it would send a link to me to download the content , hrmm another delay.

Well no email comes from ounique. When I queried ounique.com they said...

"Our links are sent from [email protected]. If our links are being caught in your spam filter, you can check for emails from this email address in the folder where your spam is sent to. Some spam filters allow you to add email addresses that you will accept emails from. You would need to do this. "

then it was suggested I supply another email address.

This is bullshit, if a content provider makes it this hard to do business with them then Im not interested. Most companies I buy from send me an ftp login after my order or even give me a direct link to download content.

Anyway, ouniqie.com is out, Im looking for content providers with a large range and easy ordering process...

I think you're making a big deal out of nothing. I was also annoyed by the verification process but after that everything went very smoothly. They have a huge selection and a great interface. Don't count them out because of some email problems.

They'll set you up ftp usually same day and mail you cd's as well. And just about every photographer has their shit listed there.

The verification process didnt worry me, the fact that I can't get access to the content now that I have paid for it and gone through the verification process annoys me.

When I click to download what I have purchased their system says it will email me a temporary download link. This email never arrives. When challenged on ICQ the best thing they can think of is for me to modify my spam filters. I dont filter spam here, I do however block SPEWS listed domains - I doubt ounique are spammers.

When I buy content I expect to be able to pay and then obtain the content with the minimum of fuss. For example paulmarkham.com is an example of customer service excellence in this area, ounique.com seems to me to be a prime example of what not to do

I've been buying from aresenal for many years, ounique.com seemed to have some nice stuff I hadn't seen on web-legal.com though.

Which is a shame, if I could access the content easily Id buy alot from ounique.com

I like ounique and their deals mean I use them a fair bit. However that e-mail link thing is a pain in the ass especially on big orders.

Good morning everyone. Wow, a lot of activity here while I was alseep.

I would first like to extend my apologies to Sexfind for not being able to help him with his problem. I remember speaking with you on ICQ but when I tried to ask you some questions about the problem your only reply was that I fix it and then you left ICQ. We do our best to help all of our clients to the best of our abilities, but I'll be the first to admit that I am not perfect. If I could have talked a little more with you I'm sure we could have figured out the problem. As it was, I could only offer a few suggestions and hope that they were effective. What else could I have done, honestly?

We are looking into this problem with our link emails. Only 5% of our clients have had this problem, and I personally do not know why this is happening. Most of the time the client finds the links in their spam file, and some can add our email to the filter so that it will accept our emails. And in some cases there were typos of email addresses as people were filling out their profiles. All email programs are different, and with a little info most problems can be easily solved.

As for our verification process, we are hit weekly with false account information and people using stolen credit cards. If someone places an order and I am not given all of the information requested, I will need to do further inquiries before I can process the order. I'm sure you have all had similar problems. What does everyone else do?

And I agree with DrewKole and Tipsy that downloading 50 sets can be a bit of a hasstle. We do offer to ship your content on a CD by DHL, many orders can be received the very next day. Besides, you can access your content on our site at any time (barring any email problems, of course), so if you do not need all of your order at one time, you can download the sets as you need them.

Also, thank you for jumping to our defense, SpaceAce. I've always said our clients are the best. I really appreciate it. And Fletch, thank you for giving me the first laugh of the day. You rock!

I will contact Sexfind privately regarding this issue. There is no reason you should not have your content by now. And if you will take a moment to work with me on your email problem, I'm sure we can fix it. I can even set up a private ftp. It's only few sets, it should be up in no time.

I have dealt with many content providers and I can say that Ounique is the best! I have every gay pic from Ounique they have to offer.
Let me describe how my last order went through:
I hit up Don (he's posting here under nick ounique) on icq and tell him that I need all their new gay content for the past 6 months. He says sure I'll do everything for you. That's it! Next day I get DHL package with everything I wanted.
Can it be any easier?
Just ASK Don and he will do everything for you. I have dealt with him for over a year and he's the best!

PS: other companies spamming here your sites - not getting enough clients huh??

Just an update. As promised Ounique has emailed me and I now have the content I have ordered. It seems there has been a breakdown of communication between us on ICQ, which seems to be down to a missing message between us on ICQ.

Anyway, the issue here seems to be that emails from ounique's automated system dont reach me. I have asked Don to check their system to see if they can find any bounce messages which would indicate why the mail didnt get to me or if it did.

As I said in an earlier post, Id like to keep ordering from Ounique and even if I have to get manual links emailed to me each time Im happy to do that.

I really think that the emailed link is an unecessary step which could perhaps be abrigated by providing the link directly from the members area.
