My question here is ... IF this Rockstar VPS is such a scammer -- as many have suggested -- why does Brad Mitchell continue to bank roll him?

I mean such a loose cannon cannot be good for Brad's reputation (which is one of the best in the industry, btw)

I have no horse in this race, but I have seen Barefootsies get beaten up so many times, and then he calls his accusers names, and tells them they should be banned for life, and then all is business as usual?

I dunno, I guess there is more to this arrangement than meets the surface?

Let's see, I am being called a scammer by the same exact people who are in any other Barefootsies thread over the years. I am sure there is no agenda there at all. /sarcasm Are there a few clients who are unhappy? Sure. But that is going to happen at any host. We are not perfect, nor claim to be.

In looking up some of these actual people who were clients, I now see their histories. Some of them were effected because they had fellow abusers on a shared server/node which effected them and the servers performance. That happens on a shared resource. You have to track down the abusers like whack-a-mole, and get rid of them. It's more problematic if you have more than one.

Additionally, as an example, that youserve guy making a fuss used more bandwidth alone in a single week than every other client COMBINED in three months. We tried to work with him to handle his bandwidth issues, and he did not want to move to a dedicated or higher plan. He instead decided to go over to ChicagoVPS. Which as you can see has it's own bad review. Some are mad because they snuck on our network, developed projects on it, never paid or made back ups of this "mission critical" work. Who's fault? Ours or theirs? Regardless of your opinion, it's hardly a "scammer" (i.e. malicious intent to defraud).

Brad Mitchell does not "bank roll" us in any way. We have no business relationship, nor financial partnership of any kind. That is your ASSumption, and a wrong one. Although, nothing new there.

I do not need to threaten anyone with bans. Most of those in this thread have earned their BANNED FOR LIFE status previously, and lucky to be here in the first place. They had a CHOICE like anyone else here. They choose to repeated attack myself (among others they do not like) personally, and my business, in many threads over many years. Their own behavior, and inability to follow the rules, is what earned them their bans.

When you have good deals/promotions, you attract a lot of clients and sign ups.

That can be both good and bad, as you get some people who abuse resources as previously described. By that I mean not only in using too many resources to effect their neighbors, but ultimately the performance of the server. That is one issue.

You also have a lot of people out there who sign up for cheap plans and do nefarious shit. Those include torrents, script kiddies, mailers, phishing scams and alike. In short, you have a lot abuse to deal with which is a different level of abuse to contend with.

When we first launched that brand, we did not know how attractive high bandwidth VPS plans would be in the marketplace. At the time, we were the only guys out there offering 1TB VPS (although many since have followed suit) at the price point. We did not have the abuse tools, and network monitors, in place initially to deal with that volume of sign ups, and abuse. High bandwidth usage was the least of the issues.

The same stuff that's happened with us, has happened with many (not all) hosts out there. While I appreciate the other small fry hosts chiming into this thread with their , I'd bet most do not have the amount of clients/revenue, or growth we've have in a few years since launch. That can be both a blessing, and a curse when you grow so fast.

Correct. There was no malicious intent to rip anyone off with the hosting (i.e. scamming anyone). You have one guy in the thread who had excessive usage by anyone's standards, we tried to help, he refused, and choose to go elsewhere. You had others terminated for abuse, not paying their bill, left because of slow performance (caused by abusive clients on same server), or because they didn't make back ups of their supposedly "mission critical" clients and data. None of which qualifies as a 'scam' by any sense of the word.

In the end, most people see this thread for what it is. A few of the same people (many never clients) trying to smear myself, or businesses I own, because of their personal vendettas. They were banned in the past, and can't get over it. Or they are like said flip who has always had a personal beef, and never misses and opportunity to bash me.

These guys do not like me, that's fine. I really do not care. Apparently it's not enough that I know it, they know it, and they have tried in endless number of 'Barefootsies' threads to let everyone else in the industry know it. They continue to persist, year after year. Ultimately, that problem is their own. I am not going anywhere. Put me on ignore, or get on with your life.

Are there a few clients in the thread who actually have had service with us we let down? Sure. But as I said, we are not perfect. Are their some of those same clients that were the source of their own issues? Yep. That said, we continue to reinvest in the business, and strive to get better.

Excuse me, but that was not the point Having 500 GB bandwith used on 1 TB package is nowhere near shall be considered as abusing, however it is true that I was at 500 GB from 1 TB at the middle of the month (not in a week!) , so I asked you guys IN ADVANCE that what are my options for having more of it, just in case. After that was the point you started to call me an abuser, educated me about why I'm an abuser, why I'm a shitface etc. AND AFTER THAT I, personally, asked for a Dedicated Quote from you guys (that you said many times, that I should consider one). Here is a quotation:

The same upgrade we performed last night with no issues has left them with massive problems and clients offline from last night until now and probably Monday or so."

Alone in this line short part of your staffs email there are many questionable part, like the 5$ part which was 25$ + 15$ for cpanel. Cut the long story short, I personally asked for a dedicated option - which has never been answered or fulfilled by you guys. Missed a biz there... What ChicagoVPS got instead of your bad words about them, which turned out to be not true. The link, you just provided about them, can be changed into threads about all love over about them. Be objective

But I have no idea why you did brought this up in a false and not-true way, after I said that no worries, and you also mentioned that you'll leave this thread... Also, try to spell my nick correct next time and try to bring up the truth, if you can But not for me, because I don't really care anymore about your company.

Also, it does not seems that you don't care as for instance you bring up me, who has no problem with you (at least at this time), except that you caused me big disappointment in regards of your services. Why are you pushing your half-true statements about me then, if you don't care? I don't really get it...

Staff has a reason for flagging your account. You were effecting other clients on the server with your usage. You used more bandwidth, single handedly, then every other client in three months combined. They provided you options, you choose to leave. It sounds like you are happy, we are happy, so it worked out magnificently.

Let's be real here...

You host adult video sites on VPS servers and expect to be allowed to burn up the connections for 5-7.00 per month.

You don't care about your providers, only how much profit you can make and fuck everyone else, including the other people on the servers.

You feel you're entitled to screw everyone else and God help them if your sites have any downtime or performance issues, despite the fact you're hosting them on the wrong platform. You'll bitch up a storm and try to ruin their reputations.

Any shared platform host who terminates you is doing exactly what they should do. Protect their clients from abuse. It's not OK for you to burn up a VPS node connection with your for profit sites and then complain when a host says - No, we're not going to lose a hundred clients just to keep you happy.

There's a reason why real adult hosts pay 300.00 plus per month for dedicated servers with enough dedicated bandwidth and quality of service. Your obviously not one of them, you're a bottom feeder, pay as little as I can to make a buck host. I doubt you even pay for your content given your attitude towards hosting providers.

I can see why you praise a VPS host that allows you to abuse their resources and clients, I would too if was able to screw everyone else for my own benefit and get away with it.

You don't know the full story, nobody said that I'm hosting profitable adult sites and please calculate into your theory that I actually signed for a 25$+15$ plan (discounted off to 5$ for the first 3 months) AND that I did contacted them WAY before I reached my bandwith limit, especially to solve this matter. Once again: I asked for dedicated hosting, but they did not answered my query about that. They are here claiming that they insisted me of getting a dedicated host, but reality is that they did suggested I should switch, which I considered and asked for a price - which was never given. But after I said that since the service is not satisfactory, I'll switch - suprise suprise - my account was deleted, not on grounds of bandwith or resource abuse, but false allegations of malware I'm hosting (which I did not).

End of story for me, and please stop with all your nonsense about me guys, ask me directly and I can send you communication with the support showing all the lines point by point proven whiches are speaks from themselves, if you are that interested in sending me to hell

P.s.: No wonder the support tickets were deleted btw after all the shit they claimed in them... I still have them all, but I did not posted here on this forum - just because I really don't care about this company anymore. What I do care about though, is that you bring up me as an example, constantly, on false grounds which needs to be clarified from my side.

You do realize the difference between a shared hosting provider and a VPS provider, right?
Sites like that one only list domains / clients that use the same DNS server as the domain being checked.

Most VPS clients do not use the provider's name servers, most use their own.
